The Black Hole

Corrected entry: The oscillating light on V.I.N.CENT's front alternates patterns from a wave pattern from his right to left, then a straight line right to left, then in a wave, then a wave from his left to right.

Movie Nut

Correction: Why does the light pattern have to remain the same? He's a robot so it presumably serves some function. The pattern may change as the data being processed to perform that function changes. Or maybe it's purely decorative and just changes to be visually interesting. We don't know because it's never discussed.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When V.I.N.CENT uses his inbuilt power drill on Maximilian, you can see that the supposed metal hull is plastic, by the dust thrown up by the drilling and the coloration of the bore hole's edges. Maximillian does have a metallic structure, since Pizer knocks on his head in the parts storage and the sound elicited by his knuckles is metallic.

Correction: Nowhere was it mentioned the robot's body is metal. For all we know, only the head is metal since it's where the actor was knocking but the body could be plastic or something else.

Corrected entry: When the Cygnus is heavily damaged by the meteor storm, a lot of the areas which the survivors of the Palomino cross in their flight are open to the vacuum of outer space - how comes that there is no decompression (except maybe in the greenhouse), not to mention a lack of oxygen?

Correction: The novelization by Alan Dean Foster mentions that the null-g field, which keeps the Cygnus from being pulled into the black hole, also provides protection from the vacuum of space.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When V.I.N.CENT uses his inbuilt power drill on Maximilian, you can see that the supposed metal hull is plastic, by the dust thrown up by the drilling, and the edge of the bore hole.

Correction: Nowhere in the film is it stated that Maximillian is made of metal. It looks like fibreglass or even carbon fibre to me, and they're both reasonable materials to make a robot's body shell out of.

Visible crew/equipment: Throughout the movie, the cables that help the robots V.I.N.C.E.N.T. and Old Bob fly are visible.

V.I.N.CENT: A pint can not hold a quart, Mr. Pizer. If it holds the pint. It's doing the best it can.
