Factual error: When Fitz and the Diggstown boys are playing 5 card stud poker, the cards are supposed to remain on the table. However, Corny has his cards in his hands, like they're playing 5 card draw poker.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie Gabe and Roy are sitting in the bleachers and Roy is wiping his forehead with a towel as Gabe starts talking to him. The camera zooms in and Roy now has his arms folded on top of the towel with his legs crossed.
Gabriel Caine: He's bigger than you are. He's tougher. He's faster. He's younger thant you are. He hasn't fought 22 rounds today, but remember this... you are black.
Honey Roy Palmer: What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Gabriel Caine: I don't know. I mean it's... I'm trying to inspire you. It's a Roots kinda thing. It's a motivation thing.
Honey Roy Palmer: Well, you're shit at motivation.
