Hulk (2003)

Corrected entry: The Hulk makes a very small splash for something that just fell from the upper atmosphere.

Correction: It doesn't matter how far something falls, once it reaches it's terminal velocity (the point at which the downward force of gravity is equal to the upward force from air resistance), it stops accellerating. If anything, as the Hulk came closer and closer to the earth, the air would get thicker and he would slow down.

Corrected entry: When Bruce is remembering when his dad killed his mom, he sees that the door gets broken, but when he and Betty go to Bruce's old house, the door is OK.

Correction: There is no reason to suspect that these government quarters were never used again by a different family in the intervening years. As such, necessary repairs would have been made.

Correction: Actually Gen. Ross was sporting a 1st Air Cavalry patch on his shoulder.

Corrected entry: I know that the military lab is set up to Talbot's specifications and all, but isn't it curious that there was no visional monitoring of Banner in his cell? After, had he wanted, he could have worked himself into a rage and transformed with no one aware until too late (not that any early detection would have mattered). Plus, it would make it very easy for someone with an electric prod to enter and begin to torture the prisoner.

Correction: This makes no sense. We don't even know for sure that there was not a camera in there, and the electric prod scene was approved by all who might be watching.

Corrected entry: In the scene at San Francisco, just after the Hulk sees Betty coming in the helicopter, the army and police arrive. There is a shot from above the Hulk and the camera is slowly pulling away. The Hulk is standing next to the hole in the ground that he burst out from. The hole is a perfect circle, and is obviously smaller than the Hulk.

Correction: It's not the hole the Hulk burst out of. It is the hole the water was shooting out of.

Corrected entry: In a very early establishing shot that tracks slowly into Bruce and Betty's Institute office, you can see a namplate next to the door that says "Bruce Banner." However, Bruce doesn't even know he's a Banner yet, and everyone calls him Kenschler (after his adoptive parents, I guess.) (00:20:00)

Correction: It doesn't say Banner, it has his adopted name on it.

Corrected entry: When Betty goes to check on Bruce after the first rampage (as the Hulk) she finds him on his bed and before that she sees the back dooor is open and later on (when they are eating) it is closed.

Correction: Some time has passed where the door could have been shut by either one of them.

Corrected entry: When Betty walks down the stairs to calm the Hulk her hair is completely dry until she meets him face to face and then her hair is completely wet.

MCKD

Correction: From the shot from above we see the Hulk has pulled up a fire hydrant, creating a shower of water that would have gotten Betty wet as she approached the Hulk.

Corrected entry: How can Bruce Banner's trousers, which we bought for a slightly built man of no more than 6 feet in height, stretch enough to remain and cover the dignity of a creature that at times seems to be at least 8 and possibly 12 feet tall and is almost three times as wide especially as he lost all his other clothes? Also when he turns back into his normal human form how come they shrink down to a perfect fit again That must be some extra special lycra he has there...

Correction: Although this was obviously done to avoid showing a nude Hulk, it is not necessarily inconsistent within the movie. His first pair of pants could have simply stretched since he did not Hulk up as big the first time. The military was responsible for giving him his second pair of pants, which could have been designed to withstand the stretching (they have other technologies in the film that we don't have, so this is not unreasonable). The shorts could have been made at some point when the military planned to use him for national security and stretchable clothes could have been in the works, eventually developing a U.S. soldier uniform to let other nations know whose side he was on. Also, if any sort of tracking device could be put onto the Hulk, a stretchable fabric would have to be developed. This technology could have even already been developed for another use, such as a protective bladder on oil tankers that would remain strong despite stretching.

Corrected entry: Both Bruce Banner and Betty Ross were in close proximity to a nuclear explosion as children. Why were they not flash-blinded, especially if they were looking straight at the blast when it happened? I could buy it with Bruce, since David's mutation may have given him some immunity, but Betty?

MoonMan

Correction: There is nothing in the film that says Betty was looking directly at the blast. She was 2 years old and crying in the arms of the ice cream parlour worker.

Corrected entry: After the Hulk's first rampage Betty comes in to check on Bruce and she leaves the door wide open. Later she goes to the door (when the military is there) and it is closed.

Correction: Bruce is also eating a prepared meal, meaning that time has elapsed and either of them could've shut the door in that time.

Corrected entry: During Bruce's first transformation, he was wearing blue pants or jeans, but when Betty finds him lying face down on the bed the next morning, his ripped pants are purple.

Correction: Not so. If you look when he makes the transformation, you can clearly see they are purple(ish). Particularly when the wallet pops out of his back pocket.

Corrected entry: Why in the world did Ross tell the officer to show the Hulk the way out of bunker? He says he wants to face him outside, but why? Don't they have an advantage over him when he can't leap away, especially if he calms down and reverts to Banner?

Correction: Ross had just witnessed his soldiers shoot the Hulk up with bullets and the Hulk beat them up. Ross knew it was a good decision to risk letting the Hulk get out so the tanks and choppers could take him out. Anyway, how did he know the Hulk could leap such distances? I sure didn't!

Corrected entry: After The Hulk kills the poodle he transforms back to Bruce. The Hulk was naked, which means that Bruce will be naked, but when Bruce is approaching Betty's car a flesh colored covering is visible, used to protect Eric Bana's modesty.

luchador

Correction: The Hulk wasn't naked. He was wearing the tattered remains of underwear to cover his modesty.

The entry is correct. You can see the Hulk's bare behind as he walks towards the pond, and then Banner's bare behind after he reverts and walks towards Betty's car, and the piece of clothing he is wearing to preserve his modesty is visible as he collapses to his knees. It's also worth mentioning that any tattered remains of underwear the Hulk would have been wearing would have been far too baggy to stay around Banner's waist.

Phaneron

Corrected entry: Near the beginning of the film when Bruce first turns into the Hulk, he tosses the gamma machine out of the lab and into the road outside, but if you use frame by frame or slow motion from a view on the inside the gamma machine reaches the outside, and a view from the outside is showing the machine just coming out of the wall. (00:41:25)

The-Immortal

Correction: This is a filming technique known as overlap. Its where a shot is shown twice from two different locations (In this case the inside and then the outside of the building).

GameBlade

Corrected entry: In the scene where Bruce is fighting tanks in the desert, in one shot he picks up a tank, twirls it around, and tosses it. Now let's think about that. He would have to get that 60 ton tank moving about 180 MPH to throw it that far away. That would take about 200,000 horse power, roughly the strength of an aircraft carrier. But in the very next shot, he takes the turret of that same tank and hits another with it, making only a moderately sized dent.

Correction: People are capable of using differing levels of strength when performing tasks - the Hulk is no different.

Tailkinker

Corrected entry: In the flashback that shows the Hulk's dad kill his wife accidentally, when he takes the knife out of her there is no blood on it.

Kelsey H.

Correction: The entire length of the knife is not shown.

Hulk mistake picture

Continuity mistake: The hole in the car windshield changes size from when the Hulk throws the dog through it to when it's shown the next morning.

Harper: Bruce! Big day. Did you sleep? I didn't sleep.
Bruce Banner: Slept okay. Is Betty here?
Harper: She's around. I really got to say, seeing you in that styling headwear.
Bruce Banner: You're implying something about my helmet?
Harper: You look like a massive nerd, even around other scientists. Can just I ask? Were you wearing the helmet while she dumped you?
Bruce Banner: See? It protects my very important brain, Harper. Go prep the samples.

More trivia for Hulk

Answer: There are varying interpretations of Bruce's memory in the comics. The most common one is that Bruce has vague memories of what happens while he is the Hulk (i.e. fear, hunger, images), but because the Hulk's brain is less "evolved" he can't remember specific information, like where he went or what he did. The converse is also true: The Hulk has vague memories of Bruce's life as well...he recognizes people that Bruce knows but doesn't know anything about them.
