Cool Runnings

Factual error: A shot of the Calgary skyline at night is displayed. The tall building on the left with the glowing roof is Banker's Hall. Also notice the building with the red logo, Canada Trust Tower, that is to the right of it. Neither of these buildings existed at the time of the 1988 Calgary Olympics. Bankers Hall wasn't completed until 1989, and the Canada Trust Tower wasn't completed until 1991. (01:25:16)

Continuity mistake: When the bobsled team is getting their act together in Calgary, there's a scene of them pushing off with an unpainted bobsled. In the shots of the feet of the guys pushing at the back of the sled, you can see that the lower back of the sled is painted black with green stripes, the colours that they paint the sled in a scene a few minutes later.

Irv: Winning a bobsled race is about one thing: the push-start. Now I know you dainty, little track-stars think you're fast. Well, heh, let's see how fast you are when you push a six-hundred pound sled. Now a respectable start-time is five-point-seven seconds. If you speed demons can't whip off an even six flat, you have a better chance of becoming a barbershop quartet.

Trivia: When Derice is applying for loans at different banks, the wall behind each bank manager is always the same wall! The plants and decorations are different, but it's the identical wall.
