Trivia: This was the second Carry On film not to feature Kenneth Williams. He was initially asked to play Professor Tinkle but had to turn down the role due to scheduling conflicts with his own television programme, The Kenneth Williams Show. Williams was then offered the role of Walter Bagley but turned it down, stating that the role was too small for his liking.
