Continuity mistake: In the final scene where Burt Reynolds loads up the back of his truck with Dolly Parton's suitcases and then drives off, we see him throw in as many as 5 or 6 suitcases. When he drives off into the sunset, there is just one suitcase in the back of his pickup. (01:47:05 - 01:48:10)
Deputy Fred: So, for awhile, as the story goes, the girls begin accepting poultry in trade: one bird, one lay. And that's how the place got its name: The Chicken Ranch.
