Ending / spoiler

(3 votes)

Mike doesn't find his mother in Italy. Scottie leaves the streets because he inherits his money. One night, Bob sees Scottie entering an up-scale restaurant in fancy clothes. Bob yells to Scottie, but he denies knowing Bob. Bob dies of a "broken heart" later that night. In the very end, we see Mike lying on the side of the deserted country road. A car pulls up to him and a figure puts him inside. We see that Scottie is the one driving the car. The last shot is that of the car disappearing down the road. Mike's voice overs says something that alliterates to Scottie being his home.
