The surviving scientists set a electric trap for the Thing, who starts to come towards the trap until Dr. Carrington comes out and tries to reason the Thing. But the Thing refuses to listen and strikes the doctor down and finally steps into the trap which electrocutes him to a crisp.

Visible crew/equipment: When the airplane flies over the area where the saucer skidded in and became buried in the ice, you can see the equipment used to clear the snow and smooth out the ice (at the narrow end of the ice). You can also see the tracks from the machine criss-crossing the circular portion from the aerial shots. (00:16:20)

If you were for sale I could get a million bucks for you from any foreign government. I'm not, therefore, gonna stick my neck out and say you're stuffed absolutely clean full of wild blueberry muffins, but I promise my readers are gonna think so.
