Continuity mistake: Elphaba grabs a poster with her picture on it and stabs it onto a branch, tearing a large hole through it. In the following shot, however, the damage appears much smaller.
Continuity mistake: The wizard hurls his staff toward a wall, where it gets stuck with the lower end pointing roughly at five o'clock. In the next shot, however, it's suddenly angled toward seven o'clock, and the handle has also rotated 180 degrees. From that moment on, the staff keeps shifting positions back and forth between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Boq (AKA Tin Man) arrives at the train station, no one is standing in front of him. In the next shot, however, two women in red suddenly appear.
Continuity mistake: When the animals crash the wedding, Fiyero cries, 'Move!' and Glinda brings her hand to her mouth in awe. In the very next shot, her hand is down.
Continuity mistake: When Glinda jumps on top of the witch, her hat flies several metres away - as seen in the wide shot of their fight. However, when the guards arrive to pull them apart, she somehow manages to reach out and grab the hat.
Continuity mistake: After the female guard is lifted into the air by the witch, she falls against a bucket of yellow paint. Half of her face and her uniform are smeared with thick, bright paint. In the next shot, her uniform is noticeably cleaner and the paint on her face has faded to a light yellow tint.
