Audio problem: During the supper, right after Fausto and Renalda jumps through the windows, Chris and Diane runs for the exit. Right before they reach the exit, Judge Valkenheiser pushes a switch that makes bars come down from the roof and block the exit. Eldona goes over to them and grabs Diane, and Chris says "Take your hands off her." The voice has a metallic sound. I have tried to look for any logical explaination in the scene as for why the voice is like this, but it has to be an audio problem.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Digital Underground was in front of the judge, the lead singer Gregory Jacobs played both roles as Shock G and Humpty Hump. However in some shots you can see Jacob's stand-in playing Shock G.
Factual error: In the beginning of the movie Chris starts up his BMW 733i and the camera pans around the interior of the car. Viewers see the tachometer, center dash stack, and the navigation screen. If you pause the movie and study the center dash stack, note that there is a Panasonic CD player. This CD player would have been an aftermarket install because a 1988 BMW didn't offer a CD player. Now later in the movie Chris is asked to put in a tape. Now there was no tape player in Chris's BMW. It was replaced by that CD player.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Chevy Chase first gets the cop on his tail, the cop pushes a switch to close a road block in front of him. Chevy Chase then makes a right turn onto a dirt road. In this shot, you see the car turning, and the driver has to correct an oversteer, turning the front tyres to the left. In the next shot inside the car you see Chevy Chase turning the steering wheel to the right. Then in the next shot you see the car from the outside again, still with the front wheels turned left.
Visible crew/equipment: When Digital Underground is doing the song "All Around The World", at the end of the song, the judge bangs his gavel. As he does so, and it gets quiet, you see the studio lighting reflected in the lead singer's glasses. Also, during the last part of the song, the guy in the white NY shirt was doing the backup vocals; you still hear him, but there is a couple of shots that his lips don't move.Movie Nut
Other mistake: When the second group of people brought before the judge are sentenced, they are put to death in Mr. Bone Stripper. Curious note: though it kills the people, and chucks their remains out the end, there is absolutely no evidence of the clothing that was on their bodies. There is no pile of shredded cloth anywhere to be seen in the salvage yard.Movie Nut
Revealing mistake: During the dinner, Dennis is addressing his sister. As she comes over by him, look at his left sleeve. It appears to be matted in, as it has a definite line at the edge of the fabric, where all other edges are softer. Then as Eldona sits the plate down, you can see a flutter between the images of Dennis' arm and the plate. Then, as Eldona turns around, you can see her dress through the gap between Dennis' arm and the plate. (00:36:30)Movie Nut
