Continuity mistake: The rear of the steer carcass was on fire and smoldering, but not seconds later in the aerial view. Also in the aerial view, the position of the steer relative to Alexander was different. (00:06:00)
Revealing mistake: In the front view of Joshua sitting on the floor, the wooden crate is a couple feet long and is at least a couple inches behind him. In the front-side view, more of the crate should have been visible and Joshua should not have been as close to the wall. In the front-side view, Joshua's entire head extends above the window sill behind him, but no window is visible in front views. [Use of green screen]. (00:11:44 - 00:12:15)
Continuity mistake: The way Alexander's scarf is wrapped and tied (on the right or left side) varies. For example, the scarf was wrapped below his neck and tied in front when he came through the door, but seconds later the scarf was up to his lower lip. A little later, the scarf was tied on his right side. (00:09:02 - 00:09:23)
Continuity mistake: Alexander still had the mark/cut on his forehead, running vertically to the outer edge of his right eyebrow, when he found the "Mars" candy bar, but it was gone less than 30 seconds later (after he found the gun). The angle as well as its appearance (wider, longer, straighter, and more pronounced) of the mark/cut on his right cheek also changed. (00:02:20 - 00:03:26)
Other mistake: The first setting was 2031 in post-apocalyptic Germany after a worldwide pandemic (an ongoing threat). Alexander met Joshua on August 27th. August temperatures in Germany are in the 70s-80s with a high probability of rain (which was absent). Both wore scarves and coats. The scarves were not being used to cover their noses/mouths to protect themselves from each other or whatever may have been in the air/atmosphere, so there wasn't a rational reason for them to be wearing either scarfs or coats. (00:10:30 - 00:11:18)
Other mistake: Water was scarce for some time, but the post-apocalyptic landscapes in most scenes showed numerous healthy-looking deciduous and evergreen trees with no signs of drought stress. Trees need to absorb many gallons of water per month to survive; the trees/forests shown were not distressed (or outright dead) like they should have been. (00:28:10)
Other mistake: Joshua kept on his thick leather gloves (with side stitching, adding width) while playing the piano yet didn't have any difficulty hitting the right keys. The added width to his fingers from this type of gloves should have interfered with his accuracy hitting the notes and keeping the tempo - the part of Chopin's "Nocturnes" he played was allegro (fast). (00:30:00 - 00:31:10)
Revealing mistake: The rear of the steer's carcass was on fire and smoldering, but wasn't seconds later in the aerial view. Also in the aerial view, the position of the steer relative to Alexander was different. (00:06:00)
