Trivia: Series co-star Bam Margera was fired during production for reportedly failing to take cooperate with various conditions set for his appearance, such as random drug tests. After being fired, he started a lawsuit against the other creators and reportedly sent death-threats to longtime "Jackass" director Jeff Tremaine, resulting in Tremaine taking out a restraining order against him. Despite his firing, Margera did film a few scenes and does briefly appear in the finished film.
Trivia: According to former "Jackass" co-star Bam Margera, the original working title for the film was "Jackass 4: We're Not Dunn Yet," as a darkly comedic reference and tribute to cast member Ryan Dunn, who passed away 2011. However, it has never been 100% confirmed whether this was an actual working title for the film, or if Bam was just making it up.
Trivia: Series star Johnny Knoxville originally stated this would be his final "Jackass" movie. He has cited his age as a factor, in addition to a severe brain injury he sustained during the film, which caused him to lose cognitive function and develop severe depression for a period of time. He also said that he feels he doesn't have anything left to prove after having worked on the franchise for over 20 years. However, he announced in early 2026 that he would be back for a fifth film in the franchise.
Trivia: The original three "Jackass" movies were released four years apart each. By comparison, this fourth film was released 12 full years after the release of the third film, "Jackass 3D."
