Factual error: The Mahindra tractor in the film is newer than the 1980's setting. The tractor appears to be a '90's model. Mahindra tractors were not in the American market in the 1980's. Also, the "plow" used in the plowing scene was actually a "middle buster" plow. This plow would not be used at this stage or soil preparation. A turning plow would have been more accurate.

Revealing mistake: The location of and distance between windows on the mobile home should stay the same, but do not. The home's exterior is constructed of vertical boards/slats, which can be used to make a rough estimate of the number (then distance). Initially, there were about 24 vertical boards between the shortest window and the window to its right (on-screen). When David and Anne were close to the house, there were a lot more boards between these windows - closer to 36+. The mobile home was "fabricated". (00:02:18)

Continuity mistake: From a distance, various cement blocks can be seen supporting and levelling the mobile home. When David looks underneath, he tells Anne, "Look, wheels" and three or four wheels close together in a row are shown. Moments later when David and Anne are about to enter the mobile home, the wheels are not there but cement blocks can be seen on the other side. (00:02:27)

Continuity mistake: Monica's station wagon and the moving van Jacob drove to their new property in Arkansas are not parked in the same positions moments after their arrival. Initially, both vehicles are at some distance from the mobile home (or trailer) and are roughly parallel. When the camera shifts to a view from the vehicles toward the mobile home, the vehicles are suddenly a lot closer and their front ends are angled toward each other. (00:02:13)

Jacob: They need to see me succeed at something for once.
Monica: For what? Isn't it more important for them to see us together?
Jacob: You go ahead and do what you want. Even if I fail, I have to finish what I started.
