Corrected entry: After Karen takes Michael's mask, if you listen closely, Michael says to her, "Give it back."

Correction: This is just an out of control fan-theory and has absolutely no confirmation anywhere, and it honestly sounds more like a mixture of Allison crying and the ambient noise of the scene than a male voice speaking or whispering. Unless the director comes right out and confirms that they very quietly looped in Michael speaking (which he hasn't), it's not something that should be listed as confirmed trivia.

Corrected entry: When Lonnie gets scared of Michael, he says he's sorry for tripping Tommy Doyle when it was Richie who tripped Tommy in the original film.

Correction: This is hardly a mistake. He was part of the group that was picking on Tommy and tripped/pushed him, regardless of whether he was specifically the one who physically did it, and was panicking and confessing. Similar to how, if you're with a group of friends and someone steals something, you might say, "I'm sorry we stole something." You're part of the group.

Plot hole: Tommy leads the mob after the 2nd escaped patient, thinking it's Michael, but Tommy should have known it wasn't Michael. He saw the patient on the TV at the bar at the beginning of the film.

Trivia: Although it's set in a completely different continuity, this film shares a few interesting similarities with the 1981 "Halloween II" movie: it takes place entirely on the same night as the previous film, and Laurie Strode spends most of the movie in a hospital.

Question: Why did the officer in the flashback beat Michael to the ground?

Answer: Because they were all angry and frustrated, Michael killed multiple locals and was also responsible for the death of their fellow officer, McCabe. They were taking out their rage on him. Completely unprofessional, but also arguably understandable. Additionally, this question is a duplicate entry; it was posted twice today.
