Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a somewhat off-kilter buddy-symbiote movie that stars Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson as the human side of the garrulous and gruesome duo who want to eat brains and tear up the town, though anti-hero Venom is content with being the city's "Lethal Defender." Naomie Harris plays Shriek, who breathes in and yells much like sonic weapon and plays Carnage's twisted love interest. While there was some PG-13 editing, there's plenty of comedy, violence and action as well as a bit of Identity Politics to keep everyone occupied here. Will there be 3? Maybe...

It honestly was so disappointing to see a "bad" boy so nice and well behaved. Villains were ridiculous, they were not believable one second. It was a beautiful t*rd: it's a nice entertainment with no value as a work of art.

A significant improvement over the first film. The humorous, almost buddy cop dynamic between Eddie and Venom carries the film. The movie also has the best use of an F-word in a PG-13 film since X-Men: First Class.

The film's biggest drawbacks are its short runtime and lack of development over Cletus Kasady and Carnage. The movie could have benefited from an additional 20 minutes devoted entirely to giving more interaction between Kasady and Carnage and more of Carnage's killing spree.

Revealing mistake: When Venom violently opens the large portal of the church, he barely takes one step but the doors close basically through him. (01:08:15)

Question: How did Cletus of all people know of Eddie getting dumped by Anne and being abused by his father? Were those stories publicized?

Cody Fairless-Lee

Answer: If they conducted a one-on-one interview, Eddie might've risked sharing some personal things to get Cletus to open up more. Eddie also took her leaving pretty hard. He might be one of those people who, you spend five minutes talking to them and they're GOING to bring up their ex.

Captain Defenestrator

Answer: Those are things Cletus would have talked about during their interviews. Eddie ignored all that and concentrated on finding the other bodies, so Cletus feels like Eddie didn't tell his side of the story.
