Continuity mistake: All crew members in the B-52 are wearing helmets, and several bail out. Then there is a shot of a man parachuting, and he is not wearing a helmet or flight suit.
Continuity mistake: The Sergeant (played by Karl Malden) is on leave with his family when the car needs water. His daughter (played by Natalie Wood) gets out and refills the water. During the conversation, Malden is bare headed, then immediately after he has a hat on.
Factual error: Sgt. Brennan and the Base Commander are riding in a staff car. They get out to see new runway construction, and when they get back in the car, Sgt. Brennan gets in first, followed by the Base Commander. Sgt. Brennan is on the right in the rear seat. According to proper protocol, the junior person sits to the left of the senior person. He should have been to the left of the CO.
