Continuity mistake: Waltraud walks up to Johann and places a tea pot on his work desk. Both straps of the apron she is wearing are shown over her shoulders. In the next shot, the strap on the left-hand side is suddenly off her shoulder and down by her elbow. The strap is then over her shoulder again in the next shot, then off her shoulder in the shot after that. (00:47:27)

Continuity mistake: Whilst Kurt is painting the banners, just as his colleague asks "Do you do that so you can feel better than us", the letter O that Kurt is painting is more than half way filled in. About twenty seconds later, after speaking with the colleague briefly, the letter O is only half filled in. (00:49:05 - 00:49:30)

Continuity mistake: When Kurt is caught drawing by his boss, he knocks over the paint tin on his work desk. There is a paint brush in it that is pointed toward him when he picks it back up. Two shots later, the paint brush is suddenly pointed in the opposite direction. Three shots after that, the paint brush is suddenly back to its original position. (00:50:05)

Continuity mistake: Whilst Kurt's teacher is giving a lecture, just as the teacher says "At first, it will lead to being subsidized", to the left of the shot, the student sitting next to Kurt is with his hand raised to his mouth and biting onto a pencil. The camera then cuts to the students and the pencil is no longer in the student's mouth. (00:53:00)

Continuity mistake: When the art students are pranking the art models, in a shot of Kurt laughing, the woman behind him can be seen laughing as well. It then cuts to a wide shot of the room where the woman suddenly has her hand over her mouth. (00:54:57)

Continuity mistake: When Kurt's classmate walks up to Ellie's desk, after she asks "2B or 4B", the shot cuts to the classmate, then back to Ellie. In the shot of Ellie, her cigarette is lowered. But in the next shot, her cigarette is suddenly raised to her mouth. (00:56:58)

Continuity mistake: When Ellie hands Kurt's classmate the pencil, her hand is still raised after she gives it to him. When the shot cuts, her hand is lowered. (00:57:10)

Continuity mistake: When Kurt asks Ellie for a walk in the park, there is a pencil shown on her desk. Two shots after, the pencil has suddenly moved onto her drawing book. (00:58:20)

Continuity mistake: Whilst Kurt is painting in his classroom, Ellie comes in with some clothes for him. When the camera cuts to a closer angle of Kurt, Ellie jumps forward a couple of feet in between shots. (01:04:25)

Continuity mistake: When Kurt and Ellie are in bed together, in the first shot of them, Ellie's neck is shadowed. Then it cuts to a close-up of Ellie where sunlight can now be seen on her neck. (01:06:18)

In the shot of her standing up, the blanket can be seen falling to the bed and is not shown touching her. When the shot cuts, the blanket can be seen around her ankles. (01:08:10)

Continuity mistake: When Ellie is speaking with Kurt in the courtyard, as she says "But don't ever do anything so crazy again", Kurt is raising a cigarette to his mouth. In the next shot, his hand is lowered and the cigarette is away from his mouth. (01:11:55)

Continuity mistake: When Kurt catches Carl cheating with the other woman, whilst the camera is on Kurt, he is looking at Carl. When the camera changes angles, he is looking to the right. (01:17:55)

Me", there are two paint tins shown right next to each other on Kurt's desk toward the bottom of shot. The shot cuts to Kurt, but when it cuts back to Carl, the two tins are further apart. Continuity mistake: When Kurt is in Carl's office, he is shown looking at a corner before Carl comes into the office. When Carl opens the door, Kurt turns his head to the right to face Carl. When the shot cuts, his body is positioned so that he is directly facing Carl. (01:20:45)
