Trivia: The characters Molly and Joey, played by Paula Marshall and Danny Nucci, end up falling in love and getting together by the end of the movie. In a case of real life imitating art, a few years after this movie came out, Marshall and Nucci reconnected, fell in love, and got married.
Continuity mistake: While at their daughter's wedding Bette & Dennis are sent outside because they are arguing. He kisses her leaning against a car and you can see that she had red shoes on. After when they come back to the wedding reception you can see that she now has black shoes on, just before they ask the brides parents to dance.
