Stan and Ollie is a biographical comedy-drama about the famous entertainment duo Laurel and Hardy during their later years when, then in their 60s, demand for their movies in America had waned, TV shows were on the rise, while tensions between them and illness strained their relationship. Laurel and Hardy take their act live to Europe, where they enjoy some success, but at a high cost. John C. Reilly and Steve Coogan bring their humor and their struggles to life in the main roles near flawlessly and the film is a touching tribute to the men, their wives and their dedication to entertaining others.

Continuity mistake: In London, while singing the Pine song Oliver says "hoo loo loo" and raises his right arm. When the shot changes it's lowered.
