Factual error: A "maple leaf" Canadian flag is flying at the Savoy Hotel in London in 1953. That flag was introduced in February 1965, replacing the Union Jack flag.
Factual error: Stan's wife Ida says St. Petersburg, Russia, is a nice place to visit. The city's name did not change from Leningrad to St. Petersburg until 1991.
Other mistake: Just after signing the contract, you briefly see Stan in his hotel room. The smoke from his cigarette is moving downwards.

Trivia: Stan tells Ollie he's never getting married again, he will just find a woman he doesn't like and buy her a house. Stan would marry three more times and divorce twice between 1937 and1953, including remarrying and re divorcing one of his ex wives.
