Continuity mistake: When the movie begins the smallest boy holds a neat pile of towels. When the shot changes they're messed up. Then they swap back to neat. (00:08:15)
Jane Banks: What brings you here after all this time?
Mary Poppins: Same thing that brought me the first time: I have come to look after the Banks children.
Anabel Banks: Us?
Mary Poppins: Oh yes, you, too.
Trivia: The scene where Poppins disappears into the bathtub was not computer generated. Blunt simply sat down backward on a slide that went under the set and the bathtub was full enough of bubbles to hide the effect.
Question: Colin Firth and Dick Van Dyke sit in a carved banker's chair with dragon scrolls. I have an exact same chair obviously made by the same person. My own chair is old and an antique, though I know nothing about it. I would like to learn more about my chair and therefore ask if anyone knows anything about the chair used in the film?
