Stupidity: Stephanie empties Emily's large closet, but when she comes back with the movers, lo and behold, all of the dead person's belongings are back. They are back though exactly as they were with superhuman inch-perfect precision. Since this movie does not have a supernatural element, that appears really silly. (01:00:30)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the teacher asks "Has Nicky's mom volunteered?" The guy answers "Emily?" with his arms down his hips, but he had his arms folded across the chest just in the previous shot. (00:03:50)
Sean: She's an enigma my wife. You can get close to her, but you never quite reach her. She's like a, beautiful ghost.
Trivia: The protagonist browses the archives of local newspapers to research more into the fire of May 3rd 2003. The news at the very top right of the front page, by the title "Town treasurer celebrates his re-election after disputed elections" features a mugshot of the director of the movie, Paul Feig.
