The Death of Superman

Lois distracts Doomsday causing the creature to come for her. Superman puts all the strength he has left into one final attack to stop him and lunges at the beast as hard as he can. He hits Doomsday with both fists so hard it spins his head around backwards snapping his neck. But Doomsday also stabs Superman through the chest at the same time. Superman dies in Lois' arms and they hold his funeral.

The film ends with Lois and Jimmy going to Superman's grave which has been busted and a figure resembling Superman hovers above them looking at the statue before flying off.

Several mid credit scenes show different characters trying to become their version of Superman setting up the next film, Rise of the Supermen.

Continuity mistake: After Clark gets the phone message from the Justice League and takes off, Cat says to Lois, "You know how men are... yeah, you're in trouble." The shot of Lois shows her mouth fully closed, but it then jump cuts to a close up and her teeth are showing. Also the amount of light on her ear changes a bit. (00:39:35)
