Revealing mistake: When Richard walks to the edge of the pool, the camera stops behind him and he looks around the area. When he does this, a car can be seen driving in the background towards the right-hand side of the shot, even though this area is supposed to be secluded. (01:34:50)
Continuity mistake: When Jen shoots Richard in the stomach, there is a close-up shot of a cushion that shows blood being splattered on it. Around thirty seconds after this, there is a shot of the living room, with the entirety of the couch in frame, where it is covered in blood, but the blood splatters don't resemble the blood splatter that was shown landing on the cushion earlier in the scene. Continuity mistake: When Jen and Richard are shooting at each other, there is a shot from directly behind Jen where she is taking cover behind a chair and pointing the shotgun directly forwards toward Richard. The camera changes angles where the shotgun is pointed towards the right. (01:37:05)
Continuity mistake: Just after Richard crawls away into the next room, Jen is kneeling beside a chair and begins to move into the living room. Whilst kneeling beside the chair, the shotgun is away from her face, aimed at the ground. When the shot cuts, it is raised to her face and aimed towards the living room. (01:37:22)
Continuity mistake: When Jen notices the blood trail leading out of the room, there is sunlight on the floor, cast near the doorway. In the next shot, the sunlight on the floor has suddenly moved a few feet away from the doorway. (01:37:35)
Continuity mistake: When Jen is searching the house for Richard, she notices a blood trail on the carpet leading up to the door. Later, when Jen is walking through the living room after killing Richard, the blood trail is now on the floor and not on the carpet. (01:38:10 - 01:44:03)
Continuity mistake: When Richard starts chasing Jen through the hallway after realising she noticed his trail of blood, there is a shot where we can see the shotgun wound on the left-hand side of Richard's stomach. A couple seconds later, the wound is now on the right side of his stomach. (01:39:27)
Continuity mistake: When Richard is trying to find Jen whilst walking through, he clutches his wound. When this happens, there is a thick smear of blood on the wall beside him, right next to the painting. It then cuts to a shot of his feet, with blood dripping on the floor. But in the next shot of Richard, the thick blood smear next to the painting has disappeared from the wall. (01:39:44)
Revealing mistake: When Jen runs into the living room from the back door, she shoots at Richard, prompting him to run into the hallway and fire back at her. In the shot from behind Richard, he is shooting at her, but no muzzle flashes can be seen coming from his shotgun. (01:41:00)
Continuity mistake: When Richard is firing shots at Jen after she tries to shoot him, he is standing in a small hallway and walking backwards. To his right, there is a rectangular shaped design of some sorts on the wall. At the end of the shot, he has walked past it and is standing beside a part of the wall that is bare, but stained with blood. The camera changes angles and he is suddenly standing beside the rectangular shaped pattern again. (01:41:05)
Continuity mistake: Richard begins running down a small hallway, where there are some blood stains shown on the wall. These change appearance when Jen runs down the hallway a few seconds later. (01:41:05)
Audio problem: Richard is standing in a small hallway trying to shoot Jen in the next room. He turns around to run down the hallway and shouts "Fuck", however his teeth are clenched and his lips don't move when he says the line. (01:41:05)
Audio problem: When Richard is running around the house trying to find Jen near the end, he is heard ferociously breathing and grunting. The breaths and grunts appear to have been dubbed in as Richard's facial and chest movements remain mostly still, which wouldn't happen if he was breathing and grunting that heavily. (01:41:10)
Revealing mistake: When Jen and Richard are chasing after each other through the house, some of the shots of them running appear to have been repeated to give the impression that they are running in circles. Specifically, the shots of Jen running through the living room, the shots of Richard running through the hallway and the shots from behind Jen running out of the door in the hallway. (01:41:15)
Continuity mistake: Whilst running through the hallway, Jen slips on some blood and falls over. The shotgun lands on the floor right next to the wall. Two quick cuts after, the shotgun has changed position, moving to a different part of the floor. (01:41:40)
Continuity mistake: When Richard has Jen pinned against a wall, the POV shots of Jen facing Richard show blood running down her field of vision, but in the other shots, there appears to be nothing covering her eyes at all. (01:42:25)
Continuity mistake: When Richard gets shot, blood can be seen splattering on the wall. Two shots after this, the blood that splattered on the wall from Richard's wound cannot be seen (not counting the large quantities of blood that were splattered on the wall earlier in the scene). (01:43:00)
Continuity mistake: When Jen shoots Richard, there is a shot of Jen lying back down towards the ground after he lets go of her. She is still holding the shotgun when she lies back, but when the shot cuts, the shotgun is suddenly on the floor. (01:43:00)
