Continuity mistake: After being sprayed in the face with water while tied up in the basement, the next shot shows Butch and Marcellus Wallace having no water anywhere surrounding them on the ground.
Continuity mistake: When Butch crashes and Marcellus shoots the woman, there's a second woman next to the door, and a white cup next to her. In the wide shot the cup is gone.
Continuity mistake: When we see Butch's arms taking the sword down from above the door in the store, the handle of the sword is in Butch's right hand. But in the next shot as Butch lowers it, we see that the handle is in his left hand.

But I saw some shit this morning that made me think twice. Now I'm thinking it could mean you're the evil man, and I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here is the shepherd, protecting my righteous ass. Or maybe it means that you're the righteous man, and I'm the shepherd, and it's the world that's evil and selfish. Now I'd like that, but you see that shit ain't the truth. The truth is, YOU'RE the weak, and I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.
Question: In the scene with Butch and Esmeralda in the taxi (right after he kills the other boxer), does anybody know why Quentin Tarantino made the view out of the rear windscreen look so fake?
Chosen answer: Tarantino is big on tribute to older films and filming techniques, hence the projection-style background.
