Corrected entry: In the nightclub, Cats, after Duckie tells Iona that he's sorry, you see him wiping his lips with a napkin. Then the camera goes to Iona showing her downing her drink and putting her hand on one side of her face, but, when the camera shows her doing this, behind her, you see Duckie reaching for a napkin off of the table.

Continuity mistake: There is a scene where Molly Ringwald is confronting her father about lying about seeing a counsellor. His hair is sweaty and messed up a bit and then it changes position to Molly Ringwald and back to her father. Then you will notice that his hair is combed.
Trivia: Both Michael J. Fox and Anthony Michael Hall turned down the role of Duckie.
Correction: Maybe he just needed another napkin?
