Continuity mistake: In the middle of the film, Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy are following Murphy's car that was in storage for several years and became very dirty. However, earlier in the film long before Murphy's car is picked up in the garage, there is a scene of Nick Nolte driving through the streets of San Francisco with Murphy's dirty car in the scene. It is the exact same scene, used twice.
Billy Bear a native American, attacks a chain gang and frees Ganz a criminal. Jack is a regular cop who goes on a chase after Ganz, after he kills two cops. In order to assist him Jack has Reggie a criminal help him find Ganz and bring him to justice.
Reggie: I've been in prison for three years. My dick gets hard if the wind blows.
Trivia: In the hilarious fist-fight scene between Nolte and Murphy, they each punch each other the exact same number of times. The fight begins with Murphy landing more punches on Nolte, but then Nolte catches up by the end of the sequence. However, if you count correctly, you'll notice that Nolte is still one punch behind Murphy. That's why once they are both back sitting in the car, about to drive off, Nolte suddenly lands one last knuckle sandwich squarely on Murphy's jaw - now they are even.
