Corrected entry: Jondalar's stepfather is named Willamar in this book. In the previous books his name was Willomar.
Continuity mistake: In "the Valley of Horses" Jondalar tells Ayla that the man he beat up had had Zolena as his donii woman the previous year and was still in love with her. In this book he says that the other man wanted Zolena as his donii woman the same year she became Jondalar's, and that the reason for his jealousy was that she picked someone else.

Correction: The author has stated that she changed the spelling on purpose to be more in line with the way she thought the character would have spelled it. Still inconsistent, so a mistake, but there's the reason.
