Trivia: Nintendo originally started out in the late 1800's as a company that produced a style of playing cards called "hanafuda." In the scenes taking place in Brooklyn, you can see a billboard for hanafuda playing cards as a reference to Nintendo's more humble beginning.

Trivia: 14-year-old Preston Mutanga animated the Lego segment. The directors had seen a video he posted on Twitter recreating the trailer for this movie from Lego, and wanted to showcase his talent. The universe seen (Earth 13122) is meant to be the same one as in the Lego Marvel Super Heroes games.

Trivia: This is the second consecutive Ninja Turtles film in which Rocksteady is portrayed by a professional wrestler. He was played by Sheamus in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and voiced in this film by John Cena.

Trivia: During the scene in King Magnifico's lab, Star accidentally enchants a quill pen which begins to write on its own. Before it stops, the pen has drawn a partial image of Mickey Mouse that resembles the Disney Channel logo.
