Continuity mistake: The first time we see the scene of Birdie sitting poolside waxing about her and Miles' fame, she brings her left hand up to hold down the side of her large hat, which obscures the camera from seeing Ms. Brand sitting down next to her, and when done speaking she pulls the hat down from the brim. When the scene is shown later a second time from Brand's point of view, when Birdie is talking she isn't holding the side of her hat, and takes it off from the top.
Continuity mistake: The time of day changes multiple times during the first half of the movie. When Danny is talking to Papi, Papi is outside and the sun is in the west indicating late day. In Danny's angle the sun is right overhead. There are multiple times when it is full on overcast in one angle and cloudless blue sky in the next.
Continuity mistake: Young Jake and Drew were at the top of an arched embankment. After they took a couple steps down and the camera shifted, the arched hill behind them comprised three step-like ledges. (00:01:37)
Continuity mistake: Gilbert/Robert was wearing a red pocket square (left lapel) when he was in the phone booth, but not when he came out of the hotel. (00:03:38 - 00:04:36)
Continuity mistake: In the transition when Bouc tells his mom that Poirot is his "friend, and he's famous", Euphemia is holding her easel and brush differently between shots. (00:19:15)
Continuity mistake: When Cage backs the silver Porsche into a car while trying to escape the people "following" him and Javi, you see a broken taillight lens fly through the air. You see the back of the car when they drive into the compound and both taillights are intact.
Continuity mistake: When The Artist is talking on the phone to Detective Mary Kelly, sometimes his long, wavy hair behind the phone is flat and other times fluffy (extending wider than the phone). (00:14:45)
Continuity mistake: The street view/scenery when Emily is walking down the road outside of her new apartment becomes quite different when the camera shifts to an aerial view (showing more cars and buildings, fewer trees along the right side of the road, and mountains in the distance instead of the nearby ocean). Continuity mistake: The bite marks on Doc's sandwich were inconsistent/contradictory. Doc took a corner bite out of his sandwich, then the sandwich was shown with an additional side bite mark (made off-screen?). When the sandwich was shown again, the distinctive bite marks were gone and the side of the sandwich that had been eaten was straight across. Doc was holding the sandwich in his right hand; after another camera shift, Doc was holding the sandwich in his left hand and the unique side bite mark was back. (00:18:22 - 00:18:48)
Continuity mistake: The view from the (unseen) car driving toward the distant house on a hill showed fog well above the pine trees, but when the car/limo got to the house/mansion (10 seconds later), there was no fog. (00:02:17)
Continuity mistake: There are two stand-up picture frames on the table. Judy knocks over one picture frame as she walks towards and points mace at Burton. Judy continues holding the mace in her right hand and purse in her left and does not bend over to upright the frame. When Judy leaves, the picture frame is upright and roughly parallel to the other frame. (00:25:45 - 00:27:20)
Continuity mistake: The views of Pinero's dead "trophy wife" from opposite sides of the bed were not consistent. From Seth's view, Pinero's wife was lying mostly on her right side with her hair covering her head/neck but otherwise not visible, and her right arm extended outward from her waist area. From the other side of the bed, Pinero's wife's long wavy hair was over her left breast and should have been visible from Seth's position but was not. Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall at Pee Wee's Pawn Shop advanced from about 12:00 to 12:05 when Frank was talking to Jerry, but it was back to around 12:01 after a few camera shifts. (00:05:59 - 00:06:24)
Continuity mistake: The position of Esther's bag on her bed changed, going from a few inches away from the foot of the bed to one corner of the bag almost touching the end of the bed. (00:29:30)
Continuity mistake: In the funeral scene, Bruce Wayne's hair changes lengths.
Continuity mistake: Francis pistol-whipped Leonard and - although there initially was no red mark - a red mark could be seen when Leonard attended to Richie's wound. Not long afterwards, the red mark was gone (but should have still been there). (00:21:35 - 00:35:06)
