Continuity mistake: Spoiler alert: About halfway through the movie, we see Emma Roberts coming out of the shower, and the camera focuses on the gunshot wound on her shoulder, with the round scar of the entry wound on her back, and the much rougher, ragged scar of the exit wound on her front. Then at the end of the movie, where it's revealed that Kiernan Shipka and Emma Roberts were actually playing the same character, just nine years apart, Kiernan Shipka gets shot by the police officer when he finds her in the room with the severed heads. Problem is: she was facing the officer. The scars on Emma Roberts are the wrong way around. (00:31:05 - 01:15:35)
Continuity mistake: After Liz and Bev tell Bill that they can't cancel the show, they are helping him put his suit jacket on. After Bev mentions the weather issues the camera angle changes and suddenly Dimitri has the roller up on his shoulder.
Continuity mistake: When the two protagonists are introduced to the private room and watch Dan's video message, the clock in the background never moves despite the several minutes duration.
Factual error: Summer and Carmen are at the saloon and catch on the local news the report of the kidnapping. The scene is set in Tuscany, Italy, but the news anchor is Spanish actress Paz Vega, speaking with an obvious accent and mispronouncing words. To make the whole situation even more absurd, she is supposed to portray a native Italian speaker, "Giulia Carni": the last name is Italian sounding but nonexistent in reality, and the headline used for the news report, "Nonna-napper", "kidnapper of grandmother" has such an awkward and unnatural sound and feel in Italian and for an Italian audience, that nobody ever would use it. (00:37:50)
Continuity mistake: Right at the beginning of the movie, the Sergeant pulls his jeep over and headbutts a prisoner who is carrying a Danish flag, seizing it. Continuity mistake: First meeting with Lazarus; the pastor sits down, his wife is just about to, and Verdean's assistant has placed her bag on the table. Next shot, pastor and wife seated, but Miss Jensen is still just only then approaching the chair and putting the bag down. (00:08:25)
Factual error: Evita Peron died in 1952. In this movie, the doctor finishes embalming her during the Coup d'état that deposes her husband...in 1955.
Continuity mistake: The first time we see Roland on his own at the bar, he's talking with the bartender, Michel. When he asks Roland in French where his wife is, Niels Arestrup's arm changes position instantaneously in an edit mid-sentence, and does the same a couple more times after. (00:11:30)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the first thug is trying to convince Brennan to handle the gun. He repeatedly uses the trigger to show him that the gun is harmless; in the next shot the weapon mid-sentence is already turned around the other way, held out for Brennan. (00:01:15)
Character mistake: The protagonist is reading the review of his book "Bitter Tulips." The influential literary critic publication apparently has zero proofreading, since the article says that the novel "can be described as AN failed experiment." (00:45:00)
Revealing mistake: At the cocktail party in his honor, Rita Richards introduces herself. Joaquin Phoenix's scotch is in a transparent plastic cup, and you notice what happens in most movies, here with particular clarity; when he brings it to his mouth, he does not take even a sip, but just pretends. (00:06:05)
Continuity mistake: The resident bully approaches Mara once her rather embarrassing mum left. Continuity mistake: Starting their investigation by the pool, Maggie remarks about the difficulties of finding a body in the woods at night. Brooke Burns' hair is clear off her shoulders all of a sudden, while it's in front of them in most of the rest of the scene. (00:24:25)
Continuity mistake: After the shooting at the concert, Lysistrata is in the bathroom downing the pill with some Don Julio tequila. The bottle lid is to the left of the bottle in the wide angles, to the right in close-up. (00:10:00)
