Continuity mistake: Travers rides in a stretch limousine and Ralph, her driver, always puts her in the seat farthest back at the rear window. However, whenever she is seen inside the vehicle, she is sitting right behind Ralph, and easily reaches over and slides shut the window between the front seat and the back, even though there should be a wide space between where she is sitting and the driver's seat.
Continuity mistake: During the first meeting between Sebastian and Belle, the dog drops the game far back on the hill, but the rest of the scene takes place with the dead hare right in front of the 'beast', on the edge of the rock. (00:10:10)
Continuity mistake: During dinner after the funeral Streep has a cigarette in her hand. The next shot her hands are together without a cigarette.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the film, Llewyn goes into a subway station. The train that comes in is a different car model than the one he is sitting in in the next shot. Also, the exterior shot is of a train that did not yet exist in 1961. That model was introduced around 5-6 years later.
Continuity mistake: When the awful cousin Charlotte hands Gwen the slice of unbirthday cake, she does it with her right hand, left hand, right hand. (00:04:20)
Continuity mistake: The layout of the two slices of pizza on the tray and the position of Tyler's fork on his plate differ after Matt reaches the table. The slices of pizza are touching, then spread apart like a "V." Tyler's fork moves from being diagonally across his plate with tines facing him to being situated near the edge of the plate with tines facing Jessica. (00:13:19)
Continuity mistake: After stabbing the bad guy at the beginning, Callahan for some reason pulls back and somehow dives past a door managing to drag in a grown woman who was all crouched down by the entrance. Wonky physics of it aside, the bad guy shoot at him, but shoots just a hole in the door frame. The hole appears to be CGI, and in fact when Callahan shoots back from the bedroom, the hole is gone. Continuity mistake: When Paul Walker bends down to see his wife's body, the clock reads 09:47, however in the next scene, the time stamp on the movie shows 09:30am. (00:13:00 - 00:13:40)
Continuity mistake: Jen unboxes the stuff she grabbed from the basement where she spotted the railroad tracks. She picks up a large vase which she shows to her business partner; the hand at the bottom is the vase is the left or the right one depending on the camera angle. (00:10:40)
Continuity mistake: When Oscar is on the phone to learn about the location of the job interview in the warehouse district, the paper that was on top of the payphone jumps suddenly in the hand that holds the receiver to his ear, with the phone call already being over. (00:22:25)
Continuity mistake: During the opening scene of the film we see two boxers fighting in Julian's boxing club. The fighter in red trunks knocks out the one in blue trunks and is announced the winner. Two men then come into the ring and, between shots, we see them pick up the loser off the floor twice. (00:02:51)
Continuity mistake: In the first scene, Duncan is sitting to the right side (if we are looking at him) of the back seat of the station wagon. When they are taking the luggage out of the car, there are now bags piled up in the seat on the right side.
Suggested correction: Absolutely no telling how much time has passed between the two scenes. With them being on a road trip, they could have stopped for gas, food, bathroom breaks etc and moved the bags around at any time. Even Duncan could have just done it by himself mid-transit to make a little more room on the floor for his feet.
Continuity mistake: When Swifty is calming the horse, and the scrap dealer exclaims, "He's fast!", Swifty has his face pressed against the horse's nose; in the cut to the long shot, Swifty is suddenly facing the horse, looking up at it. (00:25:00)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the waiter is wheeling the cart out of the building. Two workers are loading the van, with Saman to order them around. One is wearing a hat, the other isn't. Hatless Guy walks out of the van first and is sprinting back towards the building, with Hat Guy noticeably behind, but in the next shot Fabrizio passes the cart to Hatless Guy and Hat Guy is already way past them both. Continuity mistake: When the police officer picks up Woody, he is wearing boots. In the police station, he is not wearing boots. (00:01:05 - 00:02:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Terrence Howard is questioning Colin Farrell his right hand first appears with a ring and watch, later in the scene it appears on his left. (01:08:25)
Continuity mistake: When they are discussing whose pinkie gets cut off, Vince grabs Craig by the neck and pushes him against the refrigerator. Craig is first shown pushed against the right hand side of the refrigerator, but whenever the camera is on him for the rest of the scene, he is shown standing against the left hand side of the refrigerator.
Continuity mistake: Having just reached New York, Langston tries to reach by public phone Reverend Cornell Cobbs. The receiver is in his right hand, until there's a cut to the reverse angle and the phone switches to his left hand. (00:12:30)
Continuity mistake: When Irving goes to see Carmine near the end of the film, his glasses start out being tinted, but when he takes them off, as Carmine hits and kicks him, the tint has gone; even outside they're tint-free.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film you can hear a kettle whistling. But when Alvin removes a teapot (not a kettle) from the heat the whistling stops, but when he puts in back on the heat about 5 seconds later there is no whistle. Alvin doesn't remove a whistle cap or turn off the heat. (00:02:30)
