Continuity mistake: Throughout the film, John Travolta's hair changes back and forth and back and forth from being really really really short to just really short.
Continuity mistake: At the "written by" screen with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken meeting, the shadows of the building run perfectly parallel to the fence and through the whole length as far as it can be seen. The two exchange 30 seconds of dialogue and an awkward hug, and drive off. The shadows have changed entirely; they start about halfway at the gate, with an oblique angle. (00:04:05)
Factual error: Kuklinski is looking at a newspaper which is dated January 3rd 1983, and the text reads that Roy DeMeo was found dead the previous day. In actuality, Roy DeMeo died on January 10th 1983. (01:22:55)
Continuity mistake: Celeste's white Honda (Alabama plate #LF8VN3D) is riddled with bullets right after she drives up to the cabin, but there aren't any bullet holes later after the police show up. (01:26:00 - 01:45:00)
Continuity mistake: When Jeremy and the cop girl are shooting for practice, the amount of cans changes between shots.
Factual error: We see the mob boss at the start shoot a man from inside the SUV with a shotgun. However, the windscreen doesn't get affected in any way. A shotgun blast in a confined space has a spray and would have hit the glass. (00:02:30)
Continuity mistake: While he is copulating with Laurence, François Monge receives a phone call from his boss about the murder case in Bobigny. To shush his vocal partner, he gives her a slap on the shoulder, but he does it with the right hand in the view from behind, and the left hand in the full frontal. (00:08:55)
Continuity mistake: George's son is disappointed because his dad missed the ball game and tells him that he should have been there. Meanwhile Denise Richards approaches the cooking pot with her spoon in her right hand and the plate in her left. Close-up on her telling Howie that dad was busy, and spoon and plate switched hands. Factual error: The chief of police holds the rank of captain. But the Ontario Provincial Police, to which she belongs, uses the standard Commonwealth police ranks of inspector and superintendent instead of army ranks.
