Continuity mistake: When Arnold comes home after work, he always parks next to Kay's car in the driveway. As he does on the night Kay tells him they are going to the therapist's office. He is undecided about the trip and doesn't act to join her until after she leaves. Yet, when the taxi arrives to pick up Kay, there are no cars in the driveway.
Other mistake: When Dallas is stripping he turns around to face the camera and breaks the strap of his g-string. In The next camera position of the same scene, his g-string is fully intact . (01:40:40)
Factual error: When Ranger takes Stephanie to buy a gun, the one she gets is a 5-shooter, but in the scene where she is firing it at the gun range by herself she shoots it 12 times without reloading. Later, in the scene where she shoots Jimmy Alpha, she fires it 7 times without reloading.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Tom is tasting wedding cakes he is sitting at a table with a blue box cake with white bow, but in the next shot a lady then places the cake on the table.
Factual error: The movie is set in the current time (2012), but Andy flies in an L1011 in the distinctive paint scheme of Delta Air Lines. Delta retired the last of their L1011 fleet in 2001.
Continuity mistake: When the dog comes in and takes Dale's hand the blonde woman's legs keep changing position. (00:47:00)
Continuity mistake: The position of Beth's truck facing her motel room (106 or 706?) changes during the time she is talking to Holly. Sometimes the truck is closer to the room next to hers (105 or 705) and to where Beth is standing. Also, the truck's front tires are different distances from the curb. (00:48:25)
Revealing mistake: When Ray reminisces about having fought the Germans in WW2, a flashback is shown with him fighting in a bunker. He is carrying a No.4 Lee-Enfield rifle which requires the bolt to be worked after every shot to reload. However, he is shown firing two shots in rapid succession without moving his hands at all, revealing the shots to just be flashes added after filming.
Continuity mistake: When Eddie Murphy's assistant makes assumptions about why Jack isn't speaking, he throws his notepad down and has empty hands as Jack pushes him out of the office. When the angle changes, he has a notepad in his right hand.
Continuity mistake: When Sheriff Cooper writes "Karsson" and underlines it on the chalkboard, the way it is written changes between shots. In one particular shot, the line he underlined it with is suddenly rubbed out.
Continuity mistake: When the mean Santa puts the little girl in his lap and asks her what she wants, she's wearing gloves. When it cuts to a different angle, suddenly her gloves are gone.
Continuity mistake: Celeste's white Honda (Alabama plate #LF8VN3D) is riddled with bullets right after she drives up to the cabin, but there aren't any bullet holes later after the police show up. (01:26:00 - 01:45:00)
Continuity mistake: While he is copulating with Laurence, François Monge receives a phone call from his boss about the murder case in Bobigny. To shush his vocal partner, he gives her a slap on the shoulder, but he does it with the right hand in the view from behind, and the left hand in the full frontal. (00:08:55)

Meanwhile Denise Richards approaches the cooking pot with her spoon in her right hand and the plate in her left. Close-up on her telling Howie that dad was busy, and spoon and plate switched hands. Continuity mistake: In the car after Martin tells Hans about the throat slitting story, Billy and him get into an argument about the violence of the story. Billy says "It's going to be violent, it's about seven fucking psychopaths!" Martin then says "Hey!" But you can see in the back seat his mouth doesn't move for that. Then it cuts to a close up of Martin and his head is in a different position, facing Billy where he was looking out the window a moment before. (00:58:05)
