Continuity mistake: During the "bedroom scene", Dana suddenly had wrist chains on for a short period of time. Before this, a chain could be seen dangling along the wall near the bed, but the chain was never seen going onto the bed. The same is true for the chain attached on the other side of the bed. Other mistake: Blake jumped through the window, shattering the glass and propelling many fragments through the air and towards/onto Edgar and Zoe, but no-one got cut. (00:34:10)
Continuity mistake: Jason spits blood onto Joker's chin which changes spot wise and shape wise by the next shot.
Deliberate mistake: The (fake) confession letter was postmarked from Ohio and sent to Allison Connor, 331 Henry Lane in Hilliard, MB 21243. No U.S. state has a postal abbreviation of "MB." The way the "B" was written in thick bold letters made it resemble a "D" - "MD" represents Maryland (where the film apparently takes place). Also, there is no current 21243 zip code in the U.S. There is a 21241 for Baltimore City and the next consecutive zip code is 21244 in Baltimore County. The created address LOOKS real. (00:50:44)
Other mistake: The object thrown (beer can?) at Jarod from the passing truck did not hit him above the neck at the bottom of his head (where his injury supposedly was). The object was thrown with an arc to give the appearance of hitting Jarod on the head, but landed closer to his left shoulder blade. (00:32:28)
Factual error: The movie is set in 1979-1980. You can see vehicles all throughout the movie that were manufactured after 1980.
Factual error: When the Senator is looking at the rent ledger, there are entries for each property as well as the date that money was collected. One of the dates is 2/29/74, yet 1974 was not a leap year. The only leap years in that decade were 1972 and 1976. (00:56:30)
Continuity mistake: After the shootout at Sarah's birthday party, White Mike is visited at the hospital by Molly. Mike's pillow has marking "Property of Queens Hospital", they cut to Molly, then back to Mike, and the marking is gone. Regardless, they were in Manhattan, they would not have taken him to Queens Hospital anyway.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the motorcycle/police car chase they used two different motorcycles made 50+ years apart and just painted them both black. One is a 1940s Harley Davidson with a springer front end and the very recognizable horn below the headlight, and the other is a late 1990s (at the oldest) cruiser with a front end that's completely different in every way.
Factual error: When Luke puts the starting cables on the battery of the pick-up truck sparks fly from the connection. However since he hasn't connected the cables to anything on the other end yet no sparks should be visible. Next to that the battery is nearly dead so there is no power to give the sparks in the first place.
Continuity mistake: When one of the robbers is walking away with 4 bags stuffed with money, you can see a large stack of money bills sticking out of the bag. In the next shot the bills are gone. (01:04:40)
Revealing mistake: After exercising, Valerie is in bed watching the news, then the scene changes to a shot of her house showing a Honda Accord at the 2002 meeting but this model did not get released until 2008.
Continuity mistake: During his second interview with Jack, Stone tilts his body to the right in the front shots, but remains straight in the back shots.
Continuity mistake: The fan on the duty desk stops and starts randomly between camera shots. (00:54:10)
Other mistake: Given that Cassandra's parents are so incredibly rich, spoil her rotten, buy her anything, and have even got her a luxury apartment, why on earth is she flying to the USA in economy class?
