Continuity mistake: When Susanna gets into the cab to go to the mental hospital, she pushes the suitcase over and clearly sits on the left side of the cab (directly behind the driver), but in the following shots she is sitting on the right side, and looks out the right side passenger window.
Continuity mistake: At one point about three-quarters of the way through the movie, when Lowell Bergman (Al Pacino) and Don Hewitt (Philip Baker Hall) are talking, watch in the background as a certain lady walks past after Don says something. When we cut back to him he says something else, but the same woman in the background appears and walks exactly in the same direction, just like in the previous cut. (01:52:35)
Continuity mistake: When Roberta is in Brian's apartment, she is putting curlers in her hair and then Brian walks in and they start talking. Roberta then stands up and Brian kisses her neck and as she turns around you can see the curlers have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Joan first meets with her captains in Orleans, they argue. She walks away and La Hire calls her "a helluva woman". As she walks away, you can see him looking at her. Immediately, she turns back, and he is now looking at the other captains as she walks up to him and belts him. He must have turned his head very quickly, too quickly to be caught on film.
Continuity mistake: Early into the movie Andy is taking part in a meditation session. There is a wide shot of the whole group, which is seated in four concentric circles. Andy is sitting in the second circle, with two more circles behind him. When the camera angle changes to a front shot on Andy the two people behind him have changed, and the outer circle has disappeared. (00:16:40)
Continuity mistake: When Homer is walking to Snake Root, he has a rolling pin in his box. You can see the pin change positions in the box.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bill Gates is posing for a photo for The Wall Street Journal, the photographer asks him to take off his sweater revealing a white or light vanilla colored shirt underneath. The camera cuts away to the photographer adjusting his camera. When Bill is shown again in the next shot, his shirt is now light blue.
Continuity mistake: After Alvin zooms down the hill with his tractor, Danny Riordan and four other people help him. In the shot of Alvin standing next to his tractor, the tractor is facing the right side of the house, in the next shot, from Alvin's perspective, the tractor is facing the left side of the house.
