Continuity mistake: In the shot of the alien's tail wrapping around the back of Lambert's legs right before it kills her, the floor is different to what it was before, there is water suddenly falling from the ceiling when there wasn't before and her trousers have changed from white to blue. This is because that shot was originally intended to be used when Brett was killed.
Continuity mistake: After Ajax is arrested Swan goes to the station with "tough chick", the first time you see the train platform it's empty but a few seconds later a man has appeared from nowhere, then a policeman sees Swan and chases him and the man has once again vanished. (00:55:25)
Continuity mistake: When Goose crashes his motorbike, he lands on his front. The previous shot shows him falling back-first.
Continuity mistake: When the stairs are first shown, there's carpet up the middle of the stairs. At the end when they flee the house it's gone.
Continuity mistake: When James Bond is fighting with the pilot on the aeroplane, the wall beside the door is beige when viewed from inside and brown when viewed from outside.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Frank Morris arrives at Alcatraz, he has to take all his clothes off for a routine check. When the guards escort him to his cell you can see him wearing a pair of white boxers, but in the next scene (still walking) he is naked again and when placed into his cell you can see him wearing a pair of pants. Continuity mistake: During the time when Vince and Sheldon are on the highway, in the cab fleeing the bad guys in Tijada , the same cars can be seen over and over again between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Watson is conned by the prostitute who says she knows Mary Kelly, she lures him into a closed alley. After Watson has called the police and subdued the attacker, 2 constables arrive and arrest Watson, but as they all leave, a third constable comes from behind the camera. Either he magically appeared, or he walked through the wall behind.
Continuity mistake: When Ryerston is dead already and is talking with Matt, the autopsy scar next to his neck keeps changing sides.
Continuity mistake: When Mary Steenbergen and Malcolm MacDowell are in a restaurant and he's eating ice cream, his hand holding the ice cream spoon is in a different position when he's shown from the front than from when he's shown from the back - one way it's up, the other it's down. Also, the spoon disappears whenever the shot is from the back.
Continuity mistake: When Amanda rushes to get onto the bus to the train station, the door being opened is at the front LEFT of the bus (as viewed from the back). On arrival at the station (5 scenes later), the door opens at the front RIGHT of the bus (as viewed from the back), and in the second camera shot, the driver of the bus can be clearly seen sitting where the door Amanda used to board the bus would be, with no door there.
Continuity mistake: The babysitter answers one of the early calls saying "Robert, I don't think this is very funny." The pencil and papers have completely changed position on the table. (00:07:30)
Continuity mistake: When the purser's safe falls through the ceiling, we get to see the safe come to a rest, and we can see the door to the safe is still perfectly in position and still closed. The next shot looking down on the safe now shows the safe with the door now fully opened.
Continuity mistake: When we see Dr Bradley in the back seat of the limousine on his way to the meeting, he is wearing a white shirt and a black tie. When he arrives at the meeting room, he is now wearing a black shirt and striped tie.
Continuity mistake: In Princeton Library Harry leaves his side-kick Sam on lookout downstairs while going up to Ellie's reading carrel, to snoop on her papers. Professor Peabody arrives downstairs and Sam heads to the elevator to go up and warn Harry. There are several cut-aways showing the Professor, and Harry. Sam is entering the lift another time, also waiting in the lift just before that. (01:20:00)
