Corrected entry: Near the end when they are pulled over for speeding the markings on the Troopers squad are for the Wisconsin State Patrol. Driving from St Louis to Chicago would have kept them entirely in the state of Illinios and not north up into Wisconsin.

rjright88

Correction: Unless some of the highways between St Louis and Chicago were closed due to the storm, and traffic was detoured around southern metro Chicago. I've driven semi truck for 15 years in the past, and this kind of thing has happened.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Gibbs will break a mobile phone (generally in the office), and be given a brand new one by Tony. No one ever notes the new number or passes it on to those who Need to Know it, but Gibbs can still be called by anyone, especially from their speed dial.

BeauNidle

Correction: It can be safely assumed that the number is distributed off camera. It's not necessary to show them giving out a new number. Besides, it's also possible to assign and activate the same number to more than one phone.

Ground Control (1998)

Corrected entry: We learn after the 737 is struck by lightning that it looses its hydraulics this would lead to loss of all directional controls "Rudder, Ailerons and Elevators" hence why they use their engines to control their heading and altitude, yet when he flares upon landing the captain pulls on the Yoke pulling the nose up, this would have no effect if the hydraulics are shot, and the nose wheel steering would also be inoperative yet we see it working at the end?

homer09001

Correction: Pulling back on the control yoke would be force of habit, or the faint hope that it may actually do something. Planes have redundant safety features in the event of hydraulic failure. The nose wheel would be able to be forced into position by either mechanical or compressed air. Any plane I've flown with retractable wheels has the ability to lock the wheels into position in the event of hydraulic failure.

Corrected entry: In the scene just after Bennett had left the group, they are standing on the edge of the roof. When the infected start coming onto the roof via the stairwell, Alice starts firing at them. Note the sparks on the barrels. Alice has been proven to be an very capable marksman in previous movies, so these sparks are just for effects, rather then something that makes actual sense. (01:01:20)

Henkie36

Correction: Even master marksmen miss on occasion. I've been at target shooting competitions where the winner missed the target completely on a couple of shots.

Little Fockers (2010)

Corrected entry: In "Meet the Parents", the cat Jinx is strictly an indoor cat, never allowed out. In this film he's happily running around at the outdoor party.

Correction: These are two different movies, with years between them. Jinx could easily be an outdoor cat, now.

In America (2002)

Corrected entry: As the family is driving through New York, the radio station that's playing advertises itself as "music from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s." This wouldn't have been possible since the movie is set in the 1980s.

Correction: That's kind of a joke that some radio stations use for a slogan. Their music is so current, they play music that hasn't even been made yet. I've heard a number of radio stations using that slogan.

Quiet Sam - S1-E29

Corrected entry: Andy delivers a baby at a farmer's house. While still at the house at the end of the show, he tells everyone the baby is 8 pounds, 9 ounces. Bathroom scales aren't accurate enough for that weight and they didn't have electronic scales at that time. How could he know the exact weight?

terry s

Correction: How did they know my exactly weight when I was born in 1965? There are accurate scales readily available without having to be electronic.

Triple Date - S2-E8

Corrected entry: When D.J. is using the tie to try to get Danny's ring, she takes gum out of her mouth and puts it on the tie. She was never chewing anything the whole time. So she was just holding in her mouth?

metalsk8er

Correction: Sure. I know a lot of people who chew gum that just hold it in their mouth when they're tired of chewing or their jaw gets sore. Then they chew again when not tired of it.

Friends (1994)

The One Where Nana Dies Twice - S1-E8

Corrected entry: Rachel says to Chandler that she thought he was gay when she first met him, but then later he spent "Phoebe's entire birthday party staring at her breasts". In a later season, we find out that they kissed when Chandler was in college and Rachel in high school. Also. Phoebe has not had a birthday since Rachel and she met for the first time.

Correction: I used to work with an openly gay man who slept with more women in high school and college than I, or most of my friends, did. Chandler and Rachel kissing is in no way an indication of whether he was gay or not.

Lie to Me (2009)

A Perfect Score - S1-E3

Corrected entry: Several times during the episode Loker mentions the drug name as venlAXAFINE but the real name of the drug is venLAFAXINE - a clear case of dyslexia! Even with the seriousness of the episode, it becomes comical when he keeps pronouncing the wrong drug name with such conviction.

T2BLADE

Correction: At best a character quirk, not a mistake. I'm amazed at how many people, even with higher education, pronounce nuclear as nookular, for example.

Rango (2011)

Corrected entry: Rango, a chameleon, crouches in the desert sand and changes color in the hope of being unseen by a hawk flying overhead. His red shirt inexplicably changes color as well.

Correction: A chameleon talks, rides other animals, drinks, belches fire and wears clothes, and the problem you have with it is the shirt changes color? Really? It's a cartoon, leave your disbelief at the theater door.

Correction: This isn't trivia. Many of the race car drivers are listed in the credits.

Salt (2010)

Corrected entry: In the flash back scene where you see the Russian helicopter flying to the castle/building where the young Russian children are being trained (I believe this would have been set in the 60's-70's and is explained by the old Russian spy to Angelina during the interview), the Russian helicopter has the current Russian flag, however it should have the old communist flag.

Correction: The current Russian flag has actually been used since 1896, with the Hammer and Sickle being the official flag after the Bolshevik revolution. The tricolor was resurrected in 1991 as the official flag, but there have been variants of the tricolor used unofficially even during the Soviet era.

rswarrior

Corrected entry: During the aerial shots of L.A., we can see how the building are badly damaged because of fires raging inside of them. But when a building rests on a concrete elevator shaft, the concrete would turn into sand because of the heat, and if it was a steel structure, that would lose all of its strength and collapse anyway.

Henkie36

Correction: Buildings don't always collapse in a fire no matter the structure. See Madrid skyscraper fire pictures which show a skyscraper burned out, but still standing. (If you can get past all the conspiracy theories.).

Salt (2010)

Corrected entry: Evelyn Salt is a highly trained CIA agent who is accused of a very serious crime and is a high escape risk. In spite of this when she is arrested she is restrained only with a pair of regular handcuffs in the front, no doubt to make escape from NYPD custody easy.

Correction: No doubt the arresting officer will be facing disciplinary action for failing to properly restrain a prisoner. Doesn't have to be to make escape easier, just an officer who didn't do his job properly. Which is a not unusual occurrence.

Hereafter (2010)

Corrected entry: Melanie arrived late to the cookery class, however when we see her leave she got parked directly across the road, quite unlikely as this space would likely have been taken by one of the more punctual members of the group.

Correction: Not necessarily. Someone not related to the class could have been parked there, after the other students arrived, that person left, leaving the space open.

Boat Trip (2002)

Corrected entry: After Nick and Inga decide to have sex, Nick goes to the ship's shop to buy condoms. Nick went on this cruise with the sole purpose of having as much sex as possible. So therefore, it is very strange that he didn't bring any condoms with him. (00:34:30)

Correction: Perhaps from past experiences he has gone somwehere with the intent to have sex, nothing happened, so he didn't bother getting condoms before the trip because he really didn't think it would happen.

The International (2009)

Corrected entry: When the one-legged sniper arrives in New York, he is picked up by surveillance cameras, and the pictures from there are used to track him down. But every person arriving in the US is photographed at customs, so there would be a clear portrait of him on file - and no need to use the blurry surveillance picture.

Jacob La Cour

Correction: Except that it is easy to "fool" facial recognition software by using a disguise. The surveillance photo, even if blurry, would be the most up to date photo they have.

The Stepfather (2009)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the neighbor is found dead, it shows two Portland Police Interceptors and an undercover is pulling up. The paint schemes on the Interceptors is not what the Portland Police have on their cars. Portland Police Interceptors are all white with a rose on the driver and front passenger doors.

Correction: It is illegal in many states and cities to copy identically a police car, even for a movie. For instance, in Canada, there are huge penalties for making a car look identical to an RCMP unit.
