Corrected entry: In the scene where Stanley Tucci is interviewing the scrawny Chris Evans, the disease chart behind Evans has diphtheria spelled incorrectly as diptheria. It's noticeable in several shots in the scene.

Correction: Diptheria is an accepted alternate spelling in North America.

Corrected entry: In the scene where David chases down the taxi and the taxi gets hit by another car, he is wearing an American Flag pin on the left side of his suit coat. You can see it when he looks into the cab and asks the driver if he is alright. When David is shown giving a statement to the officer, he is no longer wearing the pin.

JRLOGIK

Correction: There's been enough time elapsed for the police to arrive and for them to begin questioning people. Ample time to remove the pin.

Corrected entry: Yuri brags that enormous Antonov AN-500 cargo plane is of Russian origin. Antonov is a Ukrainian aircraft design bureau and manufacturer.

Ozraptor4

Correction: Antonov's have been built since the 1940s. Kiev doesn't have a facility to built the entire plane, so they've been assembled in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Novosibirsk, Russia, or Tashkent, Uzbekistan under contract. Besides all that, the 500 is a fictional plane for the purposes of the movie. The actual plane is an An-225.

Super 8 (2011)

Corrected entry: Joe has a Space Shuttle poster on his bedroom wall, but the Space Shuttle program started in 1981, 2 years AFTER the film is supposed to have taken place.

Correction: The first flight of the shuttle was in 1981, but the space shuttle program began in the late 1960's, the program was officially announced in 1972. The first shuttle, the Enterprise, was rolled out in 1976. A poster of the event was available.

Corrected entry: In the scene with the rhino, the rhino kills three Persians. The first just happens to be in the way, and the second one tries to run away, but the third Persian actually jumps into the front of the rhino just in order to get killed. (01:09:50)

Correction: Which is how a number of people get killed in a stampede. They panic and run right into the path of the animal.

True Grit (2010)

Corrected entry: The shoot out at the end has 4 bad guys on their horses, but only three die. Marshal Cogburn shoots two guys of their horses and the other guy gets sniped by Laboeuf's Sharp carbine.

Correction: That's incorrect. All four get shot, Pepper is only wounded and rides back to shoot Cogburn before Pepper is sniped.

Tommy Boy (1995)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Tommy, Richard and Michelle read the police reports to Paul and Beverly about their scans, Paul tries to escape but is eventually apprehended by the police. Beverly, however, receives a dinner offer from Zalinsky rather than having the police arrest her as well. How could she suddenly luck out knowing that she was involved with Paul's scan the whole time?

zackman

Correction: 1) This is a question, not a mistake. 2) Scan? Do you mean scam? 3) Paul was the mastermind behind the scams, Zalinsky was just attracted to Beverly. She could be charged as an accomplice, and if she got involved with Zalinsky, there's less likelihood of her going on the lam.

rswarrior

Correction: Also, Michelle mentioned that Paul has active warrants out in other states, that's probably why he's the one being arrested.

Corrected entry: The Poppers take their penguins to Antarctica. As the Poppers stand amidst the snow and ice, their breath doesn't crystalise when they speak.

Correction: This type of 'mistake' has been corrected time after time. Just because it is cold doesn't mean you always see breath. It's more variable with humidity than cold in that sometimes you can see breath with temperatures above freezing, other times you don't see it even when well below freezing.

Correction: Where's the mistake? You've just described a scene.

Knight & Day (2010)

Corrected entry: Roy says that the Zephyr is the first perpetual energy source since the sun. The sun isn't perpetual, it's more like it has a nine billion year gastank.

Friso94

Correction: For most people, 9 billion years is plenty long enough to be considered perpetual. Roy's not a scientist.

rswarrior

Corrected entry: Near the end of the movie, Johnson states that he is heading to Canada, however Canada wasn't a country until the 1860's while the movie is only based around 1840.

KingBusiness

Correction: Canada was known as Canada long before it became an official country. It was called Kanata by aboriginals for centuries before it became a British colony called the Province of Canada in 1841. The name was taken from the Iroqouis around 1535 by European explorers.

rswarrior

Corrected entry: David Norris runs for Senate in 2006 and loses. 3 years and 11 months later he is shown to run for Senate again, but that can not be correct. One term for a senator is 6 years, so he couldn't have been able to run for senator again for another two years beyond that.

Incognito90

Correction: Politicians begin campaigning long before an election is due. At 3 years 11 months, he has just announced he is seeking election. His campaigning then is with supporters to earn funds to run the campaign.

rswarrior

Corrected entry: Besides the already mentioned scene, throughout the movie Ian's hair changes color. It is a light brown when he and Toula are on their second date at a restaurant then turns to a dark brown, almost black when Nikki catches them at the travel agency.

Correction: There are hair coloring products for men, especially those that want to hide their grey hair.

Wimbledon (2004)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Peter meets Lizzie for the first time in her hotel room, just after he walks in to the room, we hear the shower being turned on. Seconds later Peter walks in front of the bathroom door, you can see Lizzie standing naked in the shower. She then turns the water off (you can see she has water dripping from her shoulders) and wraps a towel round her, after a shower lasting all of a few seconds. (00:08:20 - 00:09:20)

Correction: I've had showers that are short like that, just because I wanted to freshen up. I wasn't dirty, and had already showered that day, I just wanted to rinse the dust off as it were.

Super 8 (2011)

Corrected entry: During a scene in Joel's room they show a model of the Space Shuttle and the external fuel tank is red/orange. This change did not occur until the 80's as a cost saving measure. Shuttle models before this had a white tank.

Correction: It's a model. He can paint it any colour he wants. I used to do that all the time when I was a kid making models. I'd paint the car/boat/plane/motorcycle whatever colour I had enough leftover paint for.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When Peter makes his final pizza delivery before being sacked, the receptionist refuses to pay because he is late. The clock behind her states around 3.04. When Peter arrives back at the Pizza shop, the guy is firing him but the clock behind Peter reads 2.10, some 54 minutes before he is late delivering the pizza.

tallbloke

Correction: It's not unheard of for one clock or another to be wrong.

Corrected entry: Popper is attempting to buy Tavern On The Green in Central Park. In real life, Tavern On The Green declared bankruptcy in 2010 and went out of business.

Correction: Tavern on the Green is operating as a visitor's center and gift shop as of June 2011, and retains the name Tavern on the Green.

rswarrior

Correction: So? The timeline was changed to make the movie more modern than the book.

rswarrior

Corrected entry: When Jim and Frankie Pinewater talk about the latter's story of going to a church to pay penance and end up doing heroin instead, as Frankie tells Jim about smelling the incest, he is looking down at him, but in the close up shot where he questions himself about the aroma of the incest, he is looking up and his hands are raised close to his head.

windibd

Gran Torino (2008)

Corrected entry: When Walt telephones Tau's sister to tell her Tau is locked up in the cage in the basement, it's soon shown that when he is released he enters directly into a hallway that leads outside above ground. No stairs to go up out of a basement or anything.

filmbuff2

Correction: There is no cage in the basement. It's a heavy metal screen type security door at the top of the basement steps. Thao closes the trunk, runs up the steps and is stopped by the metal door. As he is talking to Walt through the door, you can tell Thao is standing down on the steps looking up.

Correction: There are stairs , the cage is in the basement. You see them when he is first locked in the cage.
