Answer: That's essentially what the family is trying to do. They come up for supplies and to use the radio to try and reach the outside world. They built the basement area and used what supplies they had for soundproofing.

Sunshine (2007)
Question: The captain of the first Icarus is insane, burned worse than Freddy Krueger, and his crew has been dead conceivably for 7 years. How is he even alive still without medical care, let alone able to attack and murder members of the second Icarus crew? Insanity doesn't bar one from infection or organ failure.
Answer: Actually, there is a perfectly logical explanation for Pinbacker being on the Icarus II: he went through the airlock while the team was searching the ship and sabotaged the connection from there.
Answer: It is implied that Pinbacker's dedication to his mission to destroy humanity allows him to ignore his injuries. It must also be pointed out that Pinbacker was intentionally designed by director Danny Boyle to break the "realism" of the film. His survival is intended to be almost supernatural. Note that there is no possible way Pinbacker could have made it from Icarus I to Icarus II, but he does somehow and it's never explained.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Question: Since the Jedi already knew that Count Dooku is a Sith Lord, did the Jedi ever find out that he is also Darth Tyranus?
Answer: Unlikely as Obi-Wan knew from Jango Fett that he was recruited by a man named Tyranus and with that information they could have known the clone army was ordered by the sith. Its possible after the betrayal that Yoda and Obi-Wan figured it out, but by then it was not much use.
It is eventually revealed in the Clone Wars series to Kenobi and Skywalker that Tyranus and Dooku are one and the same. Prior to this, the Jedi had no idea who Tyranus was.
But like I said that would mean they knew the clone army was connected to the sith.
It most certainly should. That Kenobi never connects the dots is an astounding oversight. I've always felt like it was a writing mistake to have Jango Fett reveal the name Tyranus to Kenobi, as it makes the Jedi, and Kenobi especially, seem incredibly stupid for not putting everything together. The fact that the Clone Wars series makes it clear that Kenobi knows exactly who Tyranus is but the Jedi still trust the clones afterwards is insane. It would have made much more sense to keep the identity of Tyranus a secret to the Jedi.

Then why did Obi Wan didn't do anything? Like telling the Jedi order that the Clone army is is a part of the Sith Plan.
I think that's a mistake in the clone wars series, which was made after Episode III was released. In the movies they didn't know.

Hm I see what you mean. Maybe they didn't think he had one? I think Dooku preferred his real name over his moniker. Since he had power with his name, he still called himself Dooku. Also, his identity as a Sith was a secret for a long time, but even as he was revealed as a Sith he still introduced himself as Dooku.
Among the three apprentices of Darth Sidious, Tyranus is the one who ressembles Palpatine the most. They're both mature, noble, political leader who has a secret sith agenda.Both of them hide their Sith Identity.

Question: In all the articles I have read, Booth shot Lincoln then jumped out of the box into the audience below, spraining his ankle. He managed to escape because the audience thought it was part of the act. In the movie the show is interrupted by the Manager coming onto the stage to announce that Lincoln had just been shot - no disruption during the show until then. Is this a goof or not?
Answer: Lincoln was shot at Ford's theater while attending the play Our American Cousin. The interruption by the manager to announce that Lincoln had been shot was during a different play that Tad Lincoln was watching at the time in a completely different theater.

Silent Hill (2006)
Question: Before the sequel went into production, the writer of the first film (Roger Avery) was supposed to return to write it, and even worked out a plan to write it from prison after he was jailed for vehicular manslaughter. But he ended up getting dropped. I'm just curious... did he actually ever write a draft for the sequel? And if so, is it available online? The second movie wasn't very good (in fact it pretty much sucked), so I'd be interested to see what he originally had planned before being dropped from the project.
Answer: In an interview Roger Avary said he only started working on a basic outline of the 2nd film which he did not complete. He did not comment on the content of the outline and it is not available online anywhere.

Question: What exactly is the drum technique that Daniel defeats Chosen with?
Answer: The technique, much like the crane kick in the first movie, was made up for the film. If you are asking what exactly Daniel is doing when he performs the move; he is blocking with one arm, striking with the opposite hand and rapidly switching sides. The move works as a metaphor for the overall theme of the entire series: balance.

Question: Why was De Niro angry at Waingro after the truck operation at the beginning of the movie?
Chosen answer: Because he wasn't supposed to kill anyone. Killing the guards, especially for no reason at all, drew much more heat on McCauley and his crew. It also proved that Waingro was a dangerous loose cannon and not the calm professional the rest of the crew were. Waingro was a huge liability.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Question: When Anakin reports to Mace Windu that Palpatine is a Sith Lord, Why didn't Windu consult Yoda and the other Jedi such as Obi-Wan before facing Palpatine? It would've been a backup or reinforcements kind of thing.
Answer: Yoda was on Kashyyyk helping the Wookies and Obi-Wan was on Utapau engaging General Grievous. Mace Windu did bring three other jedi with him, he thought he had enough backup. Obviously he misjudged but the Jedi were spread thin throughout the galaxy and Windu had limited choices.
This is true. You could even argue that he didn't misjudge Anakin, he told Anakin to stay behind knowing his feelings would be conflicted but Anakin disobeyed.
Well he knew there was conflict inside Anakin but he misjudged the level of conflict, or the fact Anakin was basically already a Sith.This new information meant too much for Windu in such a short time, his duty got in the way, he felt it absolutely necessary to do it quickly. If only he had waited and taken his time to connect the dots. So many dots.
The idea that Sidious was beaten by Windu is up for debate. Sidious needed Anakin to do something big to fully succumb to the dark side. He knew Anakin was coming and in my opinion, was acting defeated to force Anakin to choose. Mace was naive and arrogant and assumed Sidious was beaten, when in reality, it was a show.
Windu is supposed to be the best lightsaber duellist around, even better than Yoda. I don't believe for a second Sidious was allowing Windu to beat him. Anakin showing up was his gamble, if he hadn't then Sidious would be dead.
Sidious would have sensed the conflict in Anakin and knew that the temptation would force him (no pun intended) to go and intervene.
I think it's worth mentioning that almost everyone on the Jedi Council and most of the Jedi masters were on the front lines when Mace Windu confronts Palpatine, so Kit Fisto and co. were probably the only help he could get? Palpatine may have even orchestrated events so most of the strongest Jedi were away from Coruscant in the first place (so they could more easily be dispatched by Order 66).
The entire war was Palpatine's way of spreading the Jedi thin.
Answer: Possibly the Jedi have the dark side of the force clouding their judgements.

The Grudge (2004)
Question: Why does the grudge seem to torture the elderly lady in the beginning and keep her alive but kill everyone else immediately?
Answer: It's not entirely accurate to say that the ghosts kill all their other victims immediately. They torment the other victims in various ways and definitely seem to drag things out with pretty much every victim. There are several opportunities where the ghosts could easily kill someone but choose to simply frighten them instead, killing them when they are at the height of their terror.

We Are Marshall (2006)
Question: Did Jack Lengyel and Red Dawson really recruit athletes who have never played football before when rebuilding the team?
Answer: Yes they did. In addition to selecting football players from Marshall's Junior Varsity team, the coaches also recruited several players from other sports. Some of those athletes had never played on an organized football team previously.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it have been awfully risky to recruit athletes who've never played football in their lives?
Not necessarily. Since they were already collegiate level athletes, it is likely they were quite physically fit. Those who had little football experience were likely used as bench players and saw little on field action.
I don't know that your statement that those who had little football were likely used, as bench players and saw little on field action is true. See, most of Marshall's experienced football players were killed in the plane crash which the movie is about.
There were about 20 freshmen players and several upperclassmen from the varsity team who weren't on the tragic flight that played the 1971 season. The majority of the team were at the very least, experienced high school players. The number of athletes on the team that had NEVER played on a football team before was low, but it was noteworthy.

Question: How exactly were Dracula's servants successful in stopping Van Helsing in 1897? What did the monster hunters do wrong?
Answer: The girl finished the incantation and opened Limbo but it only took some of the hunters, the girl and Van Helsing; it didn't take Dracula so it was a failure of a mission.
Answer: They caused enough chaos and terror in the hunters that the girl couldn't focus on reading the incantation. Van Helsing was desperately trying to get her to hurry up and finish but she just couldn't get it done in time with everything going on around her. Apparently Van Helsing's group was not prepared for the undead bursting from the ground and frightening everyone.

Question: I don't understand that when Cheng keeps picking on Dre, he's telling Dre to stay away from him and his friends. Can someone please explain that?
Answer: It is a common bullying tactic, telling someone to "stay away" from you knowing they cannot. Kids who go to the same school or live in the same neighborhood are bound to run into each other. It just gives the bully an excuse to antagonize the victim whenever they do run into each other because the victim isn't following orders to "stay away."
Answer: He dislikes how close he was getting with Meiying (Cheng's crush) and does whatever he can to scare him off so Dre doesn't talk to her anymore.

Question: Jerry turned Evil into a vampire but he was actually a werewolf when he attacked Peter? So how did that work?
Answer: Traditionally, vampires could turn into wolves. Dracula uses a wolf form throughout the original novel by Bram Stoker, so it isn't completely unheard of. Ed is definitely a vampire but he is one who can also turn into a wolf. Whether or not he can also turn into a bat like Jerry is unknown. Whether or not Jerry can also turn into a wolf is unknown.
Answer: After Charlie stabs Jerry with the pencil, Peter Vincent appears on the Fright Night TV show and says, "Do you know, there are some people who don't believe in Vampires? I do, because I know they exist. I have fought them in all their guises: MAN. BAT. WOLF. And I have always WON..."

Question: At the end, during the battle with Lotto, Rabbit tells him to "Pay attention. You're saying the same shit he said" while pointing to Lyckety-Splyt. Lotto's insults were all racist, while Lyckety (whose only racial comment was calling Rabbit a Nazi), focused his insults towards beating Rabbit and insulting his friends. Therefore how was Lotto repeating Lickety's insults?
Answer: Lyckety made several racial insults in addition to calling Rabbit a Nazi: "You the New Kid on the Block about to get smacked back to the boondocks", "form a squad with Vanilla Ice", "this guy's a hillbilly, this ain't Willie Nelson music", "you'll get dropped so hard that Elvis will start turnin' in his grave", "need to take your white a** back across 8 Mile to the trailer park." Cleverly, all of Lyckety's racial insults refer specifically to white recording artists besides his final insult. Lotto does essentially the same thing, saying generic things about Rabbit's race. This is why Rabbit says "you see how far the white jokes get you" when he battles Lotto.

Heat (1995)
Question: In the scene right before the big bank heist, a detective comes into the situation room informing the team that a CI Hugh Benny had a tip about Neil McCauley looking at Far East National Bank. How the heck did Waingro (working for Benny and VanZandt) even know about this score? McCauley hadn't even discussed it with Kelso when Waingro took down the armored car.
Answer: Waingro helped Van Zandt track down Trejo. Waingro then tortured Trejo and threatened his family if he didn't give up McCauley. With his back to the wall, Trejo gave Waingro and Hugh Benny the details of the bank heist, but Waingro killed Trejo's family anyway and beat Trejo almost to death. Benny then gives the tip to the police on Van Zandt's order.
I wonder how Trejo was tracked, I don't remember his name being revealed during Waingro's time with the crew, or any other information.
Well, we never see the crew prior to their first heist. Trejo could have given Waingro his name during the planning of that heist.
Waingro met this crew only once. How would he know who Trejo is or where he lives? Right before the heist, Trejo is asked to mislead police away from the heist.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
Question: Why did Ben destroy the mask?
Answer: Snoke had just insulted him for wearing the mask and belittled him for his feeble attempts to become another Darth Vader. Ben smashed the mask out of anger, feeling he had given everything he had to Snoke and the Dark Side by murdering his father and all he got in return was a rebuke for his incompetence in failing to defeat the un-trained Rey. The smashing of the mask was symbolic of Ben's decision to stop trying to be what he thought Snoke wanted and just be himself.

Answer: He doesn't say "I know why you're scared of the basement." He says "Do you know why you're afraid when you're alone? I do. I do." He had been trying to get Malcolm to understand that he can see ghosts but Malcolm never believed he actually could and just thought Vincent was suffering from psychosis.
