Question: I have never understood why Luke and Leia needed to be hidden with two different families. As a princess, Leia is actually in the public eye. It would have been much safer to let Owen and Beru raise her along with Luke. Why keep them apart?

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Answer: Nobody knew Luke and Leia were alive, most did not know they existed, others thought they were dead. If someone with the name of Skywalker were around, it could be anyone. Aunt Uncle, Cousin, not necessarily the Skywalker. Besides, the Empire was busy fighting and maintaining control of an entire Galaxy.
It certainly could be a popular name, but it is still tempting fate since this particular Skywalker is being raised by Anakin's step-brother. A step-brother that Anakin is not only aware of but has personally met. Also, once Vader finds out that the pilot who blew up the Death Star was named Skywalker, he knows that young man must be his son.
Answer: Obi-Wan said they needed to be taken somewhere where the Sith could not sense their presence and then Yoda said they needed to be separated, which one could assume was to increase the chance the Sith won't sense them. They also made it seem like Padme was still pregnant when she died, meaning everyone would think her child (ren) died before being born. Leia being in the public eye wasn't really a factor or concern. Bail and his wife had always talked about adopting a girl, so when they took Leia, no-one would question where she came from, especially if the Organas appeared loyal to the Emperor. In "There is Another" (from "From a Certain Point of View", considered canon), it's suggested Yoda's plan was to train Leia and not Luke. So sending Luke to live with his family would hopefully limit his development of the force, limit his involvement with the Empire, and if discovered, draw attention away from Leia.

John Wick (2014)
Question: In the hotel fight scene with Ms. Perkins, she takes what I think is the bottom end of her jacket and bites down on it. Any idea why? Just curious.
Answer: She is setting up the choke move she uses on Wick seconds later. She places the strap to her jacket in her mouth so she can reach it when she spins around. She then wraps it around Wick's neck and tries to strangle him with the strap.

Question: This question is about all of the prequels. Has George Lucas and/or Hayden Christensen ever commented on the massive of amount of criticism for Hayden's performance as Anakin?
Answer: Not exactly. George Lucas generally chalks up all the negative reactions to the prequels to overly high expectations and his own unique writing and directing style. Christensen has only ever vaguely commented on the experience not being the best but hasn't really said anything about the criticism of his performance.

The Langoliers (1995)
Question: At the end when time catches up with the people from the plane they all go up against the wall to avoid being where other people might be. I assume this is because they didn't want to risk being in the same spot as another person when time caught up. My question is what would have happened with the plane on the runway? What would happen if time caught up and someone or something happened to be in that spot?
Answer: It is impossible to say because the story never explains what would happen in this specific situation.

The Dark Knight (2008)
Question: Who does the Joker get on the bus with after blowing up the hospital? Weren't those the people who just evacuated? If so, they definitely would not have waited there for him or let him on.
Answer: He does indeed get on a bus with several people who were evacuated. The bus also contains his henchmen and is driven by one. He makes his escape by hiding in plain sight (as one of several buses that evacuated civilians from the hospital). The passengers of the bus then become the hostages in the high rise scene.

What movie is it where a postman with fear of dogs dies to escape from a dog?
Chosen answer: You may be thinking of the movie Man's Best Friend, a horror film released in 1993 about a genetically modified dog that terrorizes a neighborhood. One scene in the film depicts the dog chasing and killing a postman. This scene was included in the later film Friday: John Witherspoon (a dog catcher) is watching the film and humorously comments on the scene.

Shaun of the Dead (2004)
Question: When they are fighting John the bartender would that dart to the head not have killed Shaun?
Answer: People have survived much more serious head injuries than a dart to the head, such as gunshots and even a railroad spike driven completely through the skull. There is also the possibility the dart didn't penetrate Shaun's skull.

Question: What does the grave cracking mean?
Chosen answer: It is an implication that Carrie White is not really dead.
Answer: It's most likely just a metaphor for the terrible memories that those who survived the prom massacre must have in their minds forever. The memory of Carrie White haunts them.

Question: Why did Jay look like she was going to swim out to the boys on the boat to have sex with them if it turned out she never did?
Answer: The scene was meant to show that Jay was seriously considering having sex with a stranger and passing the curse on, as she was told to do. At the last minute she changed her mind, presumably due to guilt.

Question: When Evil is walking down the alley, why did Jerry chase after him? Evil didn't believe in the existence of vampires, so he wouldn't have been a threat to Jerry at all.
Answer: Peter's odd behavior at Jerry's house made Jerry suspicious. When he discovers the shard of the mirror on the ground he finds out why Peter was spooked: Jerry doesn't cast a reflection. Jerry then decided that Charley's friends must be dealt with. In Ed, Jerry sees something which would lead him to believe Ed would make a good servant. Jerry turns Ed into a vampire and sets him against Peter while he himself deals with Charley and Amy.

Tangled (2010)
Question: I have two questions in reference to Flynn and Gothel. 1) When Flynn is arrested, he believes Rapunzel has been abducted by the Stabbington Brothers. Later, while he is being taken to the gallows, Flynn sees the Stabbington Brothers in their cell and questions them on how they knew Rapunzel's hair is magic. One of them responds, "It wasn't us. It was the old lady," referring to Gothel. Seeing how he rides Maximus to the tower where Gothel hides Rapunzel after escaping, how did Flynn figure Rapunzel would be there without getting no information to confirm? 2) When Gothel stabs Flynn, why does she tell Rapunzel she's to blame for Flynn's impending death?
Chosen answer: 1) Flynn knows the tower is where Rapunzel and her "mother" live, going back there is the only logical place to search for Rapunzel. 2) She meant it was her fault for leaving the tower and dragging Flynn into the situation, which led him to his fate.

Pacific Rim (2013)
Question: Was there anything in the film stating why the Jaegers couldn't be remotely controlled? I get the premise of 2 pilots and drifting, but it seems like the robots weren't controlled by cables and wires and the interface could have been off-site, just like piloting drones.
Chosen answer: It is stated that due to the sheer size of the jaegers it is incredibly complex to actually pilot one. So complex that advanced mind-linking technology was developed for the sole purpose of controlling the jaegers in combat. Presumably that complexity necessitates having to actually be inside the jaeger to operate it efficiently. There is also the possibility that drifting technology has a short range or must be hardwired into the technology you wish to control.
Also, you have to consider transmission latency, the amount of data that has to be transferred, and the power of the transmitters that would be required to maintain that bandwidth. Considering that it requires two pilots to take the strain, I'm guessing that the bandwidth would be a lot more than you get from a wireless gigabit connection. And, of course, the aliens could probably figure out how to jam wireless transmissions if they wanted to. A direct connection is more reliable.

Answer: The reason they are split is so if one is discovered they still have the other. Leia certainly lives a much more public life but she could easily be passed off as the daughter of Bail Organa since she takes his last name and lives as his daughter. The real question is why on earth would Obi Wan give Luke to family that Vader is aware of and let him keep the Skywalker name?

Adding to this, Tatooine wouldn't be somewhere where Vader would want to go. He doesn't have fond memories there e.g. death of his mother, slaying all those Tuscan raiders.
Also, if I remember correctly, no-one knew she was having twins. Everyone knew she was pregnant, so when Luke showed up it wasn't necessarily questioned. Leia was given to another family so no-one would put it together that she was also Vader's child and therefore hiding her from existence.
