Question: When Dom finds Vince with the chip, the conversation concludes with Vince basically saying how all of them have been negatively affected by everything that has happened and he sarcastically asks Dom where Letty is. How would he have found out about Letty if he was on the run since the events of the first film? Earlier in the film he tells Brian and Mia about his misfortunes and how he ended up in Rio.

Answer: Word of Letty's supposed death could have gotten to Vince a number of ways. Most likely when Dom or Mia initially contacted him to ask for help they mentioned that Letty had died. Letty was one of Vince's best friends, her death would have been one of the first things mentioned to him.

Rocky IV (1985)
Question: I recently purchased the soundtrack to Rocky IV and one of the songs is called Man Against The World. The small pamphlet that came with the CD stated that this song was originally going to be in the movie but was eventually left out. Had this song been in the movie, what scene would this song have appeared in?
Answer: Presumably it would have been used in the scene where Rocky and company arrive in Russia. Burning Heart (also by Survivor) was chosen to be used in this scene instead.

Unstoppable (2010)
Question: How did the throttle lever slip from idle to full power? Throttle are notched, and built to require significant force to move to prevent that from happening.
Answer: It's a complicated answer that the movie somewhat glosses over but in the real life incident this film is based on, the engineer purposefully set the throttle at 100% believing that the dynamic braking system would slow the train. The dynamic brake was not properly set, however and this coupled with the fact the automatic air brake was not applied caused the train to slowly accelerate out of control. Dynamic does not work at the speed they were going in the yard.
It's possible that the throttle lever in the movie had a design flaw that allowed it slip.

Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)
Question: Wouldn't Shinzon have had to know where the enterprise is being assigned in order lure them to pick up B-4? Data's brain has a safeguard so his positronic energy signature cannot be tracked. And how did he know a different ship instead of the enterprise wouldn't come to Remus to pick up B-4?
Answer: Long range sensors can show the general location of specific ships (this is part of the reason Romulans and Klingons use cloaking devices). All Shinzon has to do is find a remote planet close enough to the Enterprise that would cause them to be the most prudent choice to investigate. It's definitely a gamble but not one that is made without calculation.

The Lone Ranger (2013)
Question: Something I've always wondered about trains in the old west on these unfinished railroads, and this movie brought it to my attention again. It shows the track still being built, and it's a single track for one train, no second track along side it. That being said, before the track was finished there is a train going down it one way at the beginning of the movie with passengers. When the train is taken over and forced to steam ahead out of control, it goes off the end of the track and crashes. Well if this hadn't happened, how would the train have gotten back? It is a one way train, on an incomplete track and stopping at a station to drop of passengers and supplies. How would the train have turned around to go the other way again?
Answer: There are stations in between the ends of the line that allow the train to unload passengers, unload cargo, hitch new cars, and turn to go in the opposite direction.

Question: I know Patton really did slap a soldier named Bennett. I have two questions. Firstly, is the dialogue in the scene where Patton slapped Bennett accurate? Secondly, was Bennett really a coward?
Answer: The entire slapping incident is surprisingly accurate, including the second slap knocking off Bennett's helmet. The dialogue is not verbatim but the scene is accurate in spirit. By today's standards Bennett would not be considered a coward. He suffered from what we call today post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). During Patton's time PTSD was called "shell shock" or other terms and was not treated with the same compassion as today. Patton himself did not believe in the concept of shell shock and thought men like Bennett were simply cowards.

Question: John McClane wraps a fire hose around his waist, and uses it to jump 100 feet until the coil catches the lip of the building, the hose catches him. Wouldn't that have seriously injured him, given the inelastic materiel which fire hoses are made of, and the fact that he was not wearing a safety harness?
Answer: In reality, yes tying a fire hose (or any rope strong enough to hold your weight for that matter) around your waist and using it as shown in the film could cause serious injury. It was worth it to try, however because staying where he was would have meant certain death when the bomb explodes.

Question: How did Sauron take the form of a fiery eye? Isn't he powerless without the ring?
Answer: Most of Sauron's power was poured into the One Ring, but not all of it. Sauron cannot take a true physical form until the ring is returned to him but he can still use his power to form the eye to keep watch over Middle Earth.
Is the eye actually his true form?
If by "true form" you mean the form he originally took when he was created, it is unlikely. Sauron was a good, just, and respected being prior to being corrupted and likely wouldn't have such an evil appearance in his original form. It is important to note, however that the Eye of Sauron takes on a much more physical form in Peter Jackson's film that it does in the books. In the books, the eye is a red light hovering over the tower that has the vague appearance of an eye. The films makes the eye look like an actual, literal eyeball that moves and seems to have a personality.

Sort of, yes. Sauron's spirit existed in a non-corporeal form and eventually built enough strength to form the eye.

Question: When Frost attempts suicide, Beck shoots him in the shoulder to disarm him... why? He could have easily killed Frost (or Danny and Chris, who were several feet behind Frost).
Chosen answer: Beck wants Frost to stand trial and suffer for his crimes. Realistically a trained officer would never do this not only for the reasons stated but also because police officers are trained to shoot to kill, not to wound.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Question: Why can't Dooku sense Obi-Wan on Geonosis? In ANH, Vader could sense Obi-Wan on the Death Star.
Chosen answer: For one thing Vader is significantly more powerful than Dooku. Vader also has a strong emotional connection with Obi Wan and thus it is easier to sense him.
How come? Tyranus, Obi Wan and Vader are all force sensitive. So we could expect Dooku might have sensed Kenobi.
There's nothing in the film to suggest he did. In A New Hope, Vader specifically mentions sensing Obi Wan. In Return of the Jedi, Luke specifically mentions sensing Vader. There is no mention that either Obi Wan or Dooku could sense the other on Geonosis. Dooku being able to sense Obi Wan would go a long way to explain the hilarious ease of Obi Wan's capture, but it can't be said that he could sense him just because he can use the force and force users can do that. We aren't shown it and he doesn't mention it.
Maybe Dooku sensed Obi Wan. But, I think it's part of the plan to get Kenobi captured. Because Dooku is going to reveal a "dark secret" to the Jedi.
Answer: Dooku knew that Obi Wan was spying him. But he did that on purpose, by luring him into a trap. As you can see in the film, he was captured so that Dooku would plant a seed with the Republic in order to ensure the Clone Wars began as Sidious and Tyranus planned.

Question: Even though Anna lost her memories of Elsa's ice making powers, how did she remember Olaf after she meets him?
Answer: She remembers that her and Elsa built a snowman as children and named him Olaf. She doesn't remember that Elsa used magic to make the snow. In her mind it was just a memory of two sisters building an ordinary snowman and pretending he was alive.

Answer: The movies don't follow actually follow in order of each other every time. So you have to look forward in one and see an earlier released one to follow what's going on. That being said, Vince went on the run at the end of the first movie. Then Brian ends up in hiding out in Miami which opens up new characters. He's offered to clear his record and his job. Then the next movie Tokyo Drift you can ignore (doesn't actually fit in for several more instalments. The next Fast and Furious has Brian now being FBI and Dom had fled the country to Panama after the first movie to keep his "family" safe. It doesn't give an exact timeline when Mia contacts him to say that Letty is dead. Given even this bit of context shows that at least a year or most several have passed. So I'm sure that fugitive or not, in this day and age it wouldn't be too difficult to quietly check up on people.
