Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Billionaire Mugger - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: It's spring in San Francisco in this episode: warm with light rain and people outside in shirtsleeves. That is, until Monk goes to visit Kelly, when it suddenly becomes winter. Everyone's bundled in heavy coats and it's sleeting. After Monk leaves Kelly's house, it becomes spring again. [The Kelly Street sequence was originally meant to be used in "Mr. Monk and the Candidate, " where everyone is dressed appropriately for cold weather. For whatever reason, it instead got used in this episode.]

Kim (1950)

Continuity mistake: Near the end, Kim's string of beads alternates between being tucked inside his jacket in full shots and hanging outside the coat, draped over his lapels, in close-ups.

The City on the Edge of Forever - S1-E29

Continuity mistake: After Edith stumbles and nearly falls down the stairs, she still has both her shoes on. But after the kiss, she proceeds up the stairs and is now carrying one shoe. She had no time to take it off, as she was, er, busy with Kirk the whole time. (00:43:55)

Forever Knight (1992)

Dark Knight: The Second Chapter (2) - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: The blood stains on Nick's white turtleneck are lighter, then darker, then lighter again, and migrate to different positions, both during his fight with LaCroix in the abattoir, and throughout the hospital scenes afterward. (00:10:15 - 00:19:30)

Dark Shadows (1966)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: The newly-cured Barnabas, wearing a red striped bathrobe, screams when Dr. Lang opens the drapes to let the sunlight in. When the same scene is recapped the next day, Barnabas is suddenly wearing a solid blue bathrobe.

Dark Shadows (1966)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: 1967: Barnabas selects a treasure from a jewelry chest while bad guy Jason spies on him through a window. Willie is supposed to put the chest away, but when Jason later breaks in to steal it, the chest is still sitting on the table in plain view, so Jason has to pretend not to notice it. The break-in scene is recapped the next day, only this time, the chest is no longer on the table.

Headhunter - S4-E6

Continuity mistake: Muller and Vila have a brief struggle over the teleport console. When Muller grabs at the controls, Vila pulls his hand away, making the teleport lever break off and fall onto the console. It fixes itself again a short time later. (00:06:05)

Star Trek (1966)

The Alternative Factor - S1-E28

Continuity mistake: Both the positive and negative versions of Lazarus have a long mustache and a fairly full "waterfall" beard - until the scene in the briefing room, when inexplicably, the mustache and beard are both suddenly so thin they're barely visible. As soon as they beam down to the planet, however, the much thicker facial hair is restored. (00:23:00 - 00:24:30)

The Alternative Factor - S1-E28

Continuity mistake: Mad Lazarus has just put a black-and-white hatch cover over the stolen dilithium crystal in his time ship. It's in place when Kirk arrives to confront him. But a moment later, when Kirk leans in and is accidentally transported to the negative universe, the cover has disappeared. It's still missing when Kirk returns to push Lazarus through the portal. Court Martial - S1-E21

Continuity mistake: McCoy uses a "masking device" to block out the bridge personnel's heartbeats. When McCoy masks Spock's heartbeat, he holds the microphone, err, masking device over the wrong part of Spock's anatomy. We'd already established that Spock's heart wasn't in the same place as a human.

Arena - S1-E19

Continuity mistake: During the attack on the outpost, as Spock arrives in his foxhole, Kirk puts down the box of ammunition and positions the grenade launcher. We cut to a higher angle as Spock scrambles around to the Captain's left, and Kirk is putting the box down and positioning the launcher all over again. As the action was supposedly continuous, there wasn't time for Kirk to pick the items up and set them down a second time. (00:08:40)

Star Trek (1966)

A Taste of Armageddon - S1-E24

Continuity mistake: Just after the ship is first attacked, Scotty tells McCoy, "We can't fire full phasers with our screens up." Say what? The Enterprise couldn't operate transporters with the shields up, but it fired its phasers, full or otherwise, with the screens up every time it went into battle, and always had. If they'd been forced to shut their shields down every time they fired, the Enterprise would have been history long before this. (00:23:30)

Blake's 7 (1978)

Headhunter - S4-E6

Continuity mistake: The headless android falls into a pile of rubble after an explosion, getting up with its red, white & blue striped costume in smudgy tatters. A moment later, its outfit is mended and completely clean. Still later, when the android is walking outside, its costume is dirty and shredded again. (00:33:30 - 00:35:00)

Space Seed - S1-E23

Continuity mistake: At the hearing in the final scene, there are two bits of debris of some sort (small, black and roundish) littering the floor at the bottom left of the screen. Whatever it was disappears when Scott, Spock, Kirk and McCoy get up to leave the room. (00:48:20)

The Return of the Archons - S1-E22

Continuity mistake: The lawgivers' robes that Kirk and Spock take off and drop on the floor just inside the doorway disappear after they phaser the wall to reveal Landru. The robes reappear a few minutes later, but have now migrated several feet to one side, bunched up against the wall where they are no longer in tripping range of the actors about to enter the scene. Blake - S4-E13

Continuity mistake: Just before Scorpio crashes, Avon grabs Orac and teleports to safety. When they're still aboard the ship, Orac has several wires hanging loose from underneath. When they materialize on the planet, however, all the loose wires are magically repaired and no longer hanging. (00:16:30 - 00:17:45)

Arena - S1-E19

Continuity mistake: The giant rock sitting on the promontory, in long shot, is much larger than the Kirk stand-in stunt man who climbs the rock face to reach it. Next shot, when Kirk pushes the boulder over the edge, it's suddenly much smaller than he is. When it lands on the Gorn, the rock is even smaller - now less than half its original size. (00:31:35)
