Revealing mistake: The mock-up of Clancey's ship that we see from the town never matches the stock footage of the ship at sea. Nor, apparently, did budget restraints allow for any movement of the mock-up that would make it appear to actually be floating on water. It glides into port on what is obviously wheels, perfectly level, and without a single creak or groan that a real ship would make.

Revealing mistake: During the flashback sequence showing Rocky's past crimes, two explosive devices are thrown at a shop window. Both bounce harmlessly off and land on the sidewalk, but the shop obligingly explodes anyway.

Revealing mistake: Eustace, in dragon form, is flapping his wings with all his might as he tows the ship. But in the overhead shot, while he continues flapping, his shadow on the water below is completely motionless.
