Boy Meets World (1993)

Janitor Dad - S4-E6

Deliberate mistake: Chet comes home from his first day as school janitor brandishing a paycheck, which impresses his wife and in turn changes Shawn's mind about Chet working at the school. Being that it was Chet's first day on the job, there's no way he would already have received a paycheck. Even if it was payday, his employment would have begun on the first day of the next pay period.

Suggested correction: It's possible it was pay for training or orientation days that were before his official start date.

That's a good point.

Familiar - S11-E8

Question: After Office Eggers lynches Melvin Peters in the streets, he is shown at his arraignment not long afterwards and given a $5,000 bail. Since the FBI had oversight of the case featured in this episode and Peters' murder was directly linked to the case, wouldn't Eggers be taken into FBI custody and consequently spend a longer time in lockup awaiting arraignment in front of a federal judge instead of the one from his own county?

Show generally

Continuity mistake: The age gap between Eric and Cory decreases as the series progresses. At the start of the show, Cory is in 6th grade and Eric is a high school sophomore, meaning they are four years apart, give or take a few months. By season 3, Cory is in 9th grade (confirmed by dialogue mentioning that Shawn, who is in the same grade as Cory, is 15 years old), and Eric is a senior, leading to an age gap of three years. The first episode of season 4 takes place a couple months after the end of season 3, with Eric and Cory returning from a summer Road Trip, but just two episodes later, Cory mentions that he is in 11th grade, while Eric is still barely out of high school, leading to an age gap of two years.

I Ain't Gonna Spray Lettuce No More - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of this episode, Cory asks Alan for money for his class photo. When Alan asks what grade Cory is in now, Cory says 11th. However, at the end of the previous season, Cory had just finished 9th grade (he and Shawn are both 15) and he spent his summer traveling the country with Eric. He should be in 10th grade, not 11th. This is further complicated later in the season, when he turns 16 and gets his driver's license. If he was in 11th grade, he would have already turned 16 and gone through driver's ed.

Lucky's Wedding Suit - S11-E12

Plot hole: In the previous episode, Bill had completely bulked up and then suffered a ruptured rectum, which would sideline him for six months. He remarks that by the time six months pass, all his muscle growth would be gone. This episode shows him to be back to his regular physique, and given the fact that it was established earlier in the season that Luanne was pregnant, the fact that she has no visible baby bump (her belly is still completely flat) suggests six months have not passed, meaning Bill could not have reverted to his flabby physique so quickly.

You Can Go Home Again - S4-E1

Factual error: In this episode, Eric and Cory stop in Pottstown, Pennsylvania on their way back to Philadelphia. Cory protests, reasoning that stopping there is pointless because they are only three hours from home. Pottstown is roughly 40 miles from Philadelphia. It certainly wouldn't take three hours to get to one location from the other under normal driving conditions.

Truth and Consequences - S3-E7

Stupidity: This episode shows the school's faculty time-clock to be in a common area of the school. Placing a time-clock in such an area would be extremely foolish, as any disgruntled or prankster student could easily mess with a faculty member's timecard. Not to mention the episode shows Janitor Bud bribing a student to clock him out long after he has left for the day.

City Slackers - S3-E11

Other mistake: When Eric asks Mr. Williams why everyone is applauding Frankie missing a shot in their game of pool, Mr. Williams notes it's because no-one has ever seen two people play for three hours without sinking a shot. However, if you rewatch a couple of times the part where Frankie takes his shot and you count the balls on the table, there are only 14, not including the cue ball, when there should be fifteen. If by chance a ball was knocked off the table, then given how much the crowd was into the game, someone would have told them they needed to place the ball back on the table.

Question: Is there a name for the piece of music that plays after Cartman rejects the Washington Redskins' owner's request to stop using their name, or is it music that was created for the episode?

Answer: "This" happens to be used in computer programming language to refer to an entity that is part of a currently running code. But that is just a guess, or at least a starting point for a discussion.

The Pink Flamingo Kid - S3-E17

Other mistake: When Eddie busts Cory filming him and his cronies, he spends a few moments intimidating Cory before snatching the camera out of his hands and throwing it against the ground. After Shawn breaks up the situation and notes that they broke the camera, Cory remarks that they didn't get the tape and proceeds to pull a tape from under his jacket. Cory's hands are both visible gripping the camera the entire time that Eddie is confronting him, and he didn't have the opportunity to retrieve the tape when Shawn intervened, so he couldn't have had the tape tucked away.
