X-Men 3 (2006)

Trivia: According to new reports, the real reason Matthew Vaughn left this film is because he found a large script featuring a scene in Africa with Storm ending a drought for thirsty villagers. The executives told him that was a fake script to entice Halle Berry into remaining in the film. Vaughn was disgusted with their duplicity and exited the project.

Trivia: This film nearly had a completely different story. Marvel originally wanted Kraven to be the main antagonist, but Sony refused, as they wanted to establish Kraven in his own upcoming solo film before allowing him to appear in an MCU film.

The Great Escaper (2023)

V for Vendetta (2005)

Trivia: Adam Sutler's surname in the graphic novel is Susan. It was changed here to be a portmanteau of Susan and Hitler.

Phaneron

Trivia: This series was originally announced as "Agatha: House of Harkness" on Disney+ Day in 2021. The subtitle was then changed to "Coven of Chaos" in July 2022, before being changed again to "Darkhold Diaries" in September 2023.

Question: When Gandalf remarks that there are older and fouler things than orcs in the deep places of the world, is he referring specifically to the Balrog? If not, what are some other monsters he could be referring to?

Phaneron

Answer: Yes, he is referring to the Balrog. Though, he doesn't know for sure, he has been suspicious that there was a Balrog awakened in Moria.

Growing Pains - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: After Rogue absorbs Blob's powers to stop him from collapsing the bleachers, the shot changes, and we see Blob falling to his knees, and Rogue standing directly behind him. The shot changes again, and Rogue is suddenly crouched down on the rubble with Kitty standing behind her, and Blob nowhere to be seen.

Growing Pains - S2-E1

Stupidity: When the new principal is addressing the student body, Avalanche tries to impress Kitty by causing a couple of small earthquakes, one of which causes the scoreboard to crash to the floor below. The principal laughs off the incident and continues to address everyone instead of either evacuating the area or having everyone take cover.

Thanksgiving (2023)

Trivia: Like Machete and Hobo with a Shotgun before it, this film is based on a fake trailer that played during the 2007 Grindhouse double feature of Planet Terror and Death Proof.

Gotti (2018)

Trivia: John Travolta had to ironically wear old-age makeup to play John Gotti, despite the fact that Travolta was already 3 years older at the time of making this film than Gotti ever lived to be.

Saw X (2023)

Trivia: After 19 years, this became the first film in the franchise to receive mostly positive reviews from critics. The original film was previously the best-reviewed entry in the franchise according to Rotten Tomatoes, but only received mixed reviews.

Saw X (2023)

Deliberate mistake: Per his autopsy in Saw IV, John Kramer was 52 years old at the time of his death, and this film takes place between Saw and Saw II. Tobin Bell was around 80 years old at the time of making this film, and thus looks far too old to convincingly play someone in their early 50s. Amanda Young also looks a lot older in this film compared to other entries in the franchise that are chronologically later.

Expend4bles (2023)

Trivia: Sylvester Stallone originally exited this film in 2017 over creative differences with producer Avi Lerner. Arnold Schwarzenegger exited as well in solidarity with Stallone. The film ended up being shelved for several years until Stallone returned, albeit in a much smaller and final role. Schwarzenegger, as well as other key actors from the franchise, ultimately did not return.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Trivia: Velociraptors were much smaller in real life than as depicted in this film series. The ones in the film are closer in size to Utahraptors, which were discovered by paleontologist Jim Kirkland during pre-production of the film. The dinosaur was nearly called Utahraptor spielbergi in honour of the director, but the company employing Kirkland prevented it due to Universal being overly-litigious around the time of the film's release. Instead it was named Utahraptor ostrommaysi.

Expend4bles (2023)

Other mistake: After the first guard at the chemical plant is sniped, the second guard goes to check on him and is surprised by the sudden appearance of an attacking helicopter. Helicopters are extremely loud, and flying as low as it was depicted would also vibrate the ground and the building. There's no way it would have been able to sneak up on the guard like that.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Trivia: Wayne Knight wishes they had Nedry's death more faithful to the original novel, which saw him getting eviscerated by the Dilophosaurus (which is accurately larger in the novel), with his intestines falling into his hands, and then scooped up by his head and carried off in its mouth, wishing to himself that it will all be over soon. This depiction likely would have led to the film receiving an R-rating.
