The Lion King (1994)

Trivia: When Simba tells Scar, "You're so weird," Scar (voiced by Jeremy Irons) replies, "You have no idea." This is the exact same line Irons says in his Oscar-winning role as Claus von Bulow in "Reversal of Fortune" (1990) when told he's a strange man.

Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Trivia: With reference to another bit of trivia that points out Michael Madsen's Vic Vega in this film and John Tratolta's Vincent Vega in "Pulp Fiction" (1994). They were written to be brothers.

The Client (1994)

Trivia: In the movie, Reggie comments on Mark's Led Zepplin t-shirt, saying they were a great band. Mark accuses her of being one of those adults who pretends to like cool bands to get close to little punks like him. This parallels an incident where Brad Renfro was reading for the role of Mark, and a suit in the production office saw his Megadeath t-shirt and claimed to like that band, too. Renfro said the same thing to the producer that Mark eventually says to Reggie in the film.

Amadeus (1984)

Continuity mistake: In the extended version of the DVD, there's a scene where Constanza goes to sleep with Salieri. In one shot there's a very prominent candle next to or just behind her on her right that smoking like it's just been extinguished. But from the front view there are no candles that close to her, and the ones a short distance away are all lit.

Pretty in Pink (1986)

Trivia: When Andie is giving Duckie a ride home from the club, the song "If You Leave" starts playing. Duckie says, "I hate this song," and changes it. It's the same song that's playing at the prom at the end, when Duckie gives Andie up so she can chase after Blaine.

Pretty in Pink (1986)

Trivia: When Andie and Duckie are in the car, she stops in front of a large house and says it's her favorite. Later it's ironically shown to be Steph's house, where she attends the party.

Trivia: While the characters were running around a hot steel mill, in reality the temperatures in the mill averaged only about 40° Fahrenheit. The actors had to be consistently spritzed with water to make it look like they were sweating.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Question: When the tour group is heading back to base camp, Richard Attenborough is complaining about how the tour was unsuccessful. Samuel L. Jackson says very seriously, "It could have been worse - a lot worse." Is he referring to the fact that the dinosaurs could have escaped, or that they knew the security was faulty? If this was a real possibility, why would they have sent the tour group out, especially the kids?

Krista

Chosen answer: I don't think they're thinking along that sort of lines - I think it's more that this is the first test of the tour systems with a 'real' tour group and they're concerned about technical difficulties. Hammond is complaining because it didn't all go perfectly - Arnold is merely reminding him that they had a lot of technical systems that worked fine. If they'd had problems as well, the tour could have been appalling. At this point, they wouldn't even be considering the possibility of a dinosaur breakout or security problem - they're worried about the technical aspects of the tour working properly.

Trivia: The strange Venus di Milo clock wedding gift also makes an appearance in the original 1950 version of the film with Elizabeth Taylor.

Ghostbusters (1984)

Trivia: Casey Kasem does a voice-over cameo as himself on his radio show after the Ghostbusters become famous. The ditsy blonde woman that Louis dances with at his party is played by Casey's wife, Jean Kasem.

Other mistake: When the outlaws trap and rob a carriage in the forest, they put hooks on the back of it to keep it in place. But when the driver spurs the horses on faster, they run off, pulling the driver off the carriage and away behind them. There's no logical reason for this to happen, as you see the horses attached to the carriage, there is no evidence, either audio or visual, of the harnesses breaking, and in any event there really isn't enough force exerted for the harnesses to break to begin with.

Office Space (1999)

Continuity mistake: In addition to the mistake about Joanna's hair on the way back from the party: on the way TO the party, when the camera is on Joanna her window is up and her hair is still. But when the camera is on Peter, Joanna's window is obviously down, because her hair is blowing.

Krista

Continuity mistake: When Robin, Azeem, and Duncan visit Marian's house for the first time, it's dreary and overcast out. But when Robin steps inside, there's suddenly bright sunlight coming through the windows. It then periodically cuts back to outside, where it's still overcast.

Continuity mistake: When John starts to cross the burning bridge to rescue his wife and baby, he steps onto the bridge and almost into the fire, which is just inches from him. But when the bridge breaks, the fire has suddenly moved several feet below him (so it doesn't burn him up as he climbs to safety, I presume.).

Continuity mistake: Just after Will is tied to the barrel to be executed and the drums start rolling, there's a wide shot of the whole gallows, including the barrel, but Will is missing.
