National Velvet (1944)

Continuity mistake: At one point towards the end of the Grand National, the horses are seen running the wrong way around the track - clockwise, instead of counterclockwise.

Independence Day (1996)

Independence Day mistake picture

Continuity mistake: On the television screen that has a map of where all the ships have landed in the Eastern Hemisphere, every city is identified by name, except for Berlin, which is just identified as "Germany." (00:26:50)

Grease (1978)

Continuity mistake: During the dance contest, when Kenickie and Cha-Cha are dancing around like crazy (when she puts her foot up on his shoulder), you can see Danny and Sandy in the background, standing on the sidelines. Given that they're the last couple on the floor at the end, they should still be out dancing at this point.

Hook (1991)

Continuity mistake: When Peter gets hit with the baseball his son hit, it looks like in the shot behind the flying ball, that it's going to miss his head by several inches. But when it cuts to the front angle, the ball hits him squarely in the head. (01:28:05)

Grease (1978)

Continuity mistake: In the middle of the dance contest, Patty Simcox does a funny front walkover, and comes dancing towards the camera. Over her shoulder, you can see Sonny running up behind her. But suddenly it cuts to another angle, and Kenickie is running up behind her to lift up her dress, and Sonny is nowhere to be seen.

Here on Earth (2000)

Factual error: Sam has really bad running form for a supposed former track star. She over-pumps her arms, and looks like she's trying too hard. Even seasoned runners with injuries don't run like that.
