Continuity mistake: When Tom Riddle takes Harry's wand in the Chamber of Secrets and Harry says "Give me my wand, Tom," his arm goes from being at his side to outstretched to back at his side in successive shots. (02:05:30)

Continuity mistake: The distance between Harry and Ron when they're sliding into the Chamber of Secrets keeps changing. Harry jumps first, and Ron jumps a few seconds later, so there should be a little distance between them. But when they're sliding down, Ron is directly behind Harry. At the bottom though, Harry slides onto the ground a few seconds before Ron, meaning they're again some distance apart. (02:00:10)

Continuity mistake: When the brunette girl is preparing to slit her wrists in the bathtub she turns on the water, then takes off all her rings and lines them up on the side of the tub. She then turns the water off, but suddenly her black ring has reappeared on her finger.

Factual error: Towards the end when Pee Wee is being chased through the sound stage, he comes out through the open doors and the red light is flashing that indicates that filming is going on. But if the light were on, the doors would not be open. They also take a while to open, so it's not like they could have just swung open right before Pee Wee got there. (01:14:30)

Lionheart (1987)

Factual error: In the written introduction, it states that it's the late 12th century, and Richard II is king. "Lionheart" was the nickname of Richard I who ruled in the late 12th century; Richard II didn't rule for another two hundred years.

Working Girl (1988)

Continuity mistake: When Griffith and Ford are working together at the table, Ford is smoking a cigar. In the wide shot there's lots of smoke in the air between them, but in their close-ups the smoke is suddenly gone.

Working Girl (1988)

Continuity mistake: When Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford are standing on the sidewalk eating and talking, Ford has what looks like mayonnaise on the corner of his mouth. But in the very next shot, from a different angle, it's gone, even though he hasn't wiped his face.

Continuity mistake: When O-Ren's young bodyguard has the mace, she hits the Bride smack in the chest more than once with the very heavy, spiked ball. But later, there is not a trace of a welt, bruise, or cut on the Bride's chest (plenty of blood on her half-zipped jacket but her skin is just fine.)

Roman Holiday (1953)

Continuity mistake: When Joe and Ana are in his room in the morning, Joe puts the newspaper into his pocket with no bold print showing. A few seconds later, even though he hasn't touched the paper, it's now turned with the bold type facing out.

Roman Holiday (1953)

Continuity mistake: When Ana wakes up in Joe's room in the morning, Joe's tie goes from being tucked into his belt, to being out, and back in again in successive shots.

National Velvet (1944)

Plot hole: After The Pie runs away and breaks the delivery cart, Velvet jumps on Miss Ada (the family's cart horse) to chase after him. It seems very convenient that Miss Ada, whose only job is to pull the cart, is standing untied in the yard wearing a riding bridle, just waiting for Velvet to jump on.

Gladiator (2000)

Trivia: Although Commodus fought hundreds of (staged) gladiatorial battles in the arena, he didn't die there. He was strangled while taking a bath by a gladiator sent to assassinate him.

Krista

Continuity mistake: When Legolas jumps up on a rock to look at the approaching flock of birds, you can distinctively see his breath showing. But at no other time do you see his, or anyone else's breath showing in the scene. (It occured to me that this might be smoke, but he doesn't have a pipe.) (00:05:55)

Continuity mistake: When Frodo and Gandalf are in the kitchen, and Gandalf is revealing the truth about the One Ring, there's a shot where Frodo is standing, pouring some tea. It then cuts to Gandalf for literally two seconds, and when it cuts back to Frodo, not only has he finished pouring, but he's settled in his chair with his hands wrapped around his teacup. Pretty fast moving there. (00:38:05)

Elizabeth (1998)

Factual error: Elizabeth did not start wearing wigs and heavy makeup until later in her reign, and although it was a combination of vanity and political shrewdness, it had nothing to do with the Virgin Mary. Elizabeth very much wanted to keep the image of an eternally youthful Queen, both for her own vanity, and to belie the fact that she was aging, and possibly weak or ill. Also, all this is intended to covere up the elderly monarch's smallpox scars. "As Elizabeth grew older and grayer, she took to wearing red wigs." "Elizabeth was 25 years old at her accession. From her father she had her red, naturally curly hair." - Alison Weir, the author of 'The Life of Elizabeth I' wrote. "Gloriana [a title referring to the Queen in her latter years] was almost 60 and had resorted to an auburn wig to hide her thinning hair." - Antonia Fraser, the author of 'The Lives of the Kings & Queens of England.'

Elizabeth (1998)

Factual error: Elizabeth was nearly twenty years older than the flamboyant, bisexual transvestite Duke of Anjou, and they never met in person. He went on to become King Henry III of France, and his younger brother became Duke of Anjou. It was this Duke that Elizabeth met, and they actually got along very well and even talked about getting married. However, due to unpopular public sentiment towards the match and Elizabeth's own aversion to marriage in general, the plans were called off.

Twister (1996)

Plot hole: Throughout the entire movie, barns, houses, cars, 18-wheelers, etc. are demolished and lifted into the air like they were made of paper. And yet Jo and Bill pass through one tornado after another with nothing more than their hair getting messed up a little. You'd think the debris alone flying into their faces at 100 miles an hour would be enough to give them a few injuries.

National Velvet (1944)

Continuity mistake: When Velvet is standing with Mr. and Mr. Edes after they catch the Pie at the beginning, from one angle both her hands are on the bridle, but from the reverse angle, her left hand is on the Pie's muzzle.

Audio problem: When Marian is attacking Robin inside the house, and Azeem is trying to break down the door from the outside, Duncan says "Point me towards danger, Azeem. I'm ready." But his mouth doesn't move at all.

Continuity mistake: When Samuel is dying and Tristan is sitting over him, from one angle Tristan's hand is covering his mouth, but in the reverse angle it's down.
