Far and Away (1992)

Continuity mistake: In addition to the poor blood makeup on Shannon's face (where the blood looks like it's starting to dry,) she starts wiping it off with her handkerchief, and despite not having soap, water, or a mirror, she manages to get every speck off in just a few seconds.

Continuity mistake: During the hurricane, Eric's ship is tossed violently around on the waves. But when Ariel is thrown back into the water and the ship is seen from below, it's barely moving at all.

The Little Mermaid mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the "Kiss the Girl" song a bunch of fish swim up underneath the boat, and the water is seen to be very deep. After the boat is knocked over however, Ariel and Eric are standing in the water which now appears to be only a few feet deep.

Braveheart (1995)

Factual error: Princess Isabella was a 13-year-old girl living in France when William Wallace was executed in 1305. She didn't marry Prince Edward until 1308, and the marriage took place in Boulogne, not London.

Continuity mistake: When Gaston comes in to propose to Belle, his boots are clean until he puts them up on the table, then suddenly they're covered with mud. (00:17:25)

Continuity mistake: In addition to the other mistake of Robin crashing through the window that's obviously made of paper - when he first comes through, he makes a hole in the middle, but some of the window is still intact around the outside of the window frame. When it cuts back to Robin a second later, however, there is no "glass" in the frame at all.

Trivia: Bette Davis turned down the role of Scarlett when it was offered to her. She hated the script and thought the film was destined to fail at the box office, and she thought that Rhett Butler was going to be played by Errol Flynn, whom she loathed and with whom she refused to work.

Rock Star (2001)

Continuity mistake: When Emily is watching Chris's audition, in the close-up she is standing still. But then it cuts to the wide shot, and she's rocking back and forth.

Pretty in Pink (1986)

Continuity mistake: After Blaine is told off by Andi at school, he runs into Steph in the stairwell. Steph is smoking a cigarette, but when he puts it out, it's still almost at full length.

Trivia: When the Fellowship start poking their heads out of the snow after they've been buried on the mountain, Orlando Bloom (Legolas) is coming out of real snow (the rest are on a set).

Krista

Revealing mistake: When Griff and his gang are flying through the air and about to crash into the courthouse after the hover board chase, look at the girl on the left. Her legs hit one of the building's pillars, and her body rotates sideways, but she continues moving forward - obviously suspended by wires.

A Simple Plan (1998)

Continuity mistake: Nancy throws a snowball and it hits the windshield of Jacob's truck. It leaves a distinct blotch of snow where it hit, but in the reverse shot, the windshield is clean.

Krista

Other mistake: In the scene where it's talking about the hottest summer the city's ever had (or something to that effect) some neighborhood kids are frying an egg on the sidewalk. The problem is, they're sitting and kneeling on that same sidewalk with their bare legs, and don't seem to be in any pain or discomfort.

Office Space (1999)

Trivia: Red staplers like Milton's weren't made in real life, so the prop department had one specially made for the film. After the film's release, however, so many people wanted red staplers the office supply company started producing them.

Pet Sematary II (1992)

Continuity mistake: Right after the bully has been killed by the motorcycle, in the wide shot, everything from his forehead to his chest is a totally mangled, disgusting mess. A little while later, though, in the close-up, his face, although bloody, is completely intact and recognisable.

Beaches (1988)

Deliberate mistake: When Hillary and CC are looking at Victoria after she's born, the baby Hillary's holding looks like it's several months old, not a red and pinched-looking newborn.

Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Other mistake: When the three fairies are cleaning up the cottage, Merriwether has the broom magically sweep all the dust into a pile, then she makes the pile disappear. Right after it does so, the picture is stuck in a freeze-frame for about half a second.

Independence Day (1996)

Continuity mistake: Given the direction that the spaceship is traveling as it passes over the Mall in Washington, D.C., the White House should be completely in shadow by the time the Capitol is covered. This is not the case. Also, the shadow should spread over the White House from the left to the right, but instead it goes from the front to the back. (00:22:45)
